Nerfing anything upsets players. - Obvious. So when you think you are ready, take things away.
Then after complaints you can boost stats or drops or xxx and players pleased for a few days.
Watched it happen on a few servers now, theres a nerf, user count drops. Sometimes a lot.
So dont launch when you think its right, reduce a few things then launch

Nerfing on any game upsets the players it hits, because you are 'taking away' something that they enjoyed playing or were used to having (whether its Mir and nerfing a class, League and nerfing certain champs).

Generally if it was justified, after the initial knee-jerk moaning happens, everything simmers down.

If you over nerf something so its now 'weak' or 'unplayable' is when you've made a mistake.
