Seems lot ppl find basic sums difficult. Putting an extra 0 or two on the end of things really impresses them and x5 everything is jaw droppingly good. So at level 80(5x16) you have 2,000,000 gold(200,000) Amazing
USA got it right by changing the level numbers so the customer will get a sense of achievement more regularly. So level 90 = 40 ish euro.
Plus on a high rate you can get everything you never managed on euro plus of lot of custom things that are even better.

Well for all the cry babies there will soon be a highrate chrons rip off that you can blow your JSA on every fortnight to upgrade your weapon.
Just remember it will have zero support, no development content just the same bs every server has. A user count that will leave you feeling bored in no time. Buf if you do enjoy the short lived server created from theft.

I have PM'd Sam asking if he would release a Controlled Server files which has been stolen. People will find them sooner or later its just a shame its come to this where people have to steal other peoples work for their own gains

Please explain why you think someone should give away/share years of work? This isnt quite the same as sharing some new maps or fixes is it

No...not at all, it's not like any of the other developers / coders have released their binaries when finished translating (sarcasm). End of day, when the AceM2 started work, they clearly stated that they would release the binaries WHEN they felt the source was stable. They failed to keep to the promise they gave, now the team has been reworked and continued work on the same set of files...I guess they didn't think about releasing binaries (when at the end of the day it's the same set of files).

TBH, I would've been happy with a translated set of AppleM2 (which AceM2 is built on)...

Nevermind though!

With all that said, I highly doubt the hacker was aiming to get a set of files...Probably more aimed towards bringing them down since the usercount owns any other server!

Surely work on a leaked set of files from euro, which died almost a decade ago is not the same as a completely recoded set of files? Chronicles is the work of more than one person isnt it? If thats true then Sam cant just go giving out others peoples stuff anyway.

The leaked files are out there... people will find them sooner or later.

Yes its very unfortunate there's people out there who have hacked Chronicles all I'm saying is wouldn't it be better to release a Controlled set rather people hunting down the leaked.. which contains a lot of personal information.

I use same information for a lot of games.. (non Private) so I'm effected like a lot of people on here.

I aint posting **** just to boost my post count.. unlike you I have played some great servers in the past 10 Years its only been around 4-5 years where people on LOMCN have been coding? (might to be longer but unsure on that)

On the face of it, what you're saying sounds correct.

You'd have to imagine that some of those years work is based on the foundation of some other people's work, with a bunch of other people throwing in 'this \n that', and some of those thinking that the goal is in one place when it moves to another. It's complicated. Great people involved at different times. It is too bad that the initial team who worked on ace couldn't stick together, but you can blame them or the individuals (and they shouldn't, and probably don't, blame each other for sticking it out). Whilst everything looks rosey from the outside, there are different personalities and no one is getting paid.

Loads of admiration for those involved, past and present, but I (for what it's worth) think that the open approach to apple dev would have been less scandalous and more productive. Heroes is a great example for me.

Posting on one of those top 100 mmo sites, is likely to have been the source of bad publicity. May be wrong, but I think listing on those and within a week you get issues. Shoulda stuck with the 300+ players and lomcn & facebook tbh.

I have to say I agree, there have been some great private servers but Nemesis tops the list for me (Chronicles Coming in @ 2nd for now)
