Patcher ****ed me over

Basically, I entered the game only to get kicked out because client was up to date. I ran the patcher, some error appeared and BAM, client was deleted out of my PC for no apparent reason.

The is a bug on the patcher, where it likes to delete all the files.

I would suggest you make a back folder and copy all the files into that.

If you look in your Errors you should find something like the following

[CleanUp]:System.IO.IOException: The process cannot access the file 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Chronicles\plist.txt' because it is being used by another process.
at System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String maybeFullPath)
at System.IO.File.InternalDelete(String path, Boolean checkHost)
at ChroniclesPatcher.MirPatcher.CleanUp()

Happened to me and a friend, luckily he had it happen first and is at home, so I backed up my folder before it happened to me.

I am not running the patcher anymore tonight, only mir2.exe run >.<

didn't know to backup the folder and now after it screwed up I got to download the files again... not that I can even download the 1mb rar patcher file as the site is takes AGESSS lol

well I cant play much tonight anyway because of 12 hours at work today tomorrow and sunday so I might just call it a night and say that today was a rubbish day all round for me bah!

so i closed the patcher.. re opened it n "play" was available.. pressed it n got errors

Managed to restore my files using tuneup undelete

i would suggest making a copy of client once you fully patched , then launch from the mir2.exe. Alternatively you can change "DELPROMPT" to true for patcher to ask for your confirmation before deleting/overwriting files, this can be found in your Patcher.ini

I had the client on memory stick and i put that into my pc and it deleted the files from there to?
