Patcher keeps on downloading everything every time.

i have already tried setting time as uk time as suggested by others but still doesn't solve the problem

and yes i have downloaded all the client twice using the patcher in 2 different folders but still redownloaded everything

it will do as it cannot connect to the server 99% of the time so it screws up and thinks it needs to download everything again

nothing has changed.. i read people have patcher working now but i still get the same problem

it keeps on downloading all the client files even though they are already there inside the fooking folder!

makes no sense that each time i want to patch i must do it 5/6 hours before i want to play no?

what happens if in those 6 hours a new exe get's released? need to repatch other 5/6 hours? lol

just change patcher with something less fancy and more usefull performance wise

I think if a DEV is reading they should give alternate ways for people to download client while patcher is being fixed so that there's no messing about between now and the re-release tomorrow.

zipped patches ftw..

we already all have the ripman client for torrent i guess.. just release some freaking zip patches and number them by date as we used to in the old days..

at least they can look at the patcher properly. i can't believe it has soo many problems.

i also posted a pic of how it looks like in windows 8 and it is messed up because of the progress bars being slightly bigger.

but as i said this is a simple solution, each update release a zip with the update so that we can get and install otg

We are currently working on a fix for patcher. in the mean time we recommend you not to run patcher.

if you have and your client has deleted the data, right click the folder you patched into and select "Restore Previous Versions" it may save you having to re-download it again.

Alternatively Ripman has been kind enough to setup a .Torrent download (http://download-new.utorrent.com/endpoint/utorrent/os/windows/track/stable/) - (Original topic - http://www.lomcn.org/forum/showthread.php?82021-MirChronicles-Full-Client-Download) , this will need patching for the new ip address / other updates when we think its safe again.

same for me but this is goin on sice ive played in beta all u have to do is run pathcer if a new exe i out and wait till u see the mir exe and ini has download after the Data things start download u close patcher and use exe and works fine...

sure this is a valid solution if you just get the mir.exe update or the mir.ini since they are the first to be checked but if the update is a map or anything else then it becomes more difficult.

we already have had others autopatchers before which work flawlessly, why just not stick with one of those.. i can stay without the server status as long as the patcher works properly meanwhile they try to sort the issue

Had the same, however only changing timezone didn't work for me. Changed Timezone, Location and number format to UK and it was ok.

Friday the patcher deleted all my files and I had to redownload, but that's another problem I think.. as you still have all files as you said.

i didn't try changing regional settings to uk.. might probably fix the issue if it is something related to how it stores the info inside the plist.txt

but i mean, this is stupid.. instead of having all these problems with regional settings use something unique like timestamps.. this are always the same!

it seems 2 me that its hard for them 2 do that better let others lvl than let every1.... More than half of the ppl crying that patcher dont work keep downloading whole game all over again but they dont do anything ty u very much have some friends who cba already with it i am downloading whole game 4th time since full client download ripman uploaded with the new patcher in it dont work ....

who cares it downloads everything again tbh ?! atm , i would like a patch to connect i got the files to play the game, its not updating correctly or else you would be able to connect even if it would download everything all over and over again

i have downloaded all again with new patcher still does not work blocks at server selection says connecting and thats all

Another fix when you are on the connecting to server screen is to press ALT and ENTER together to switch between windowed mode. This will sometimes allow you ingame.
