Pc/Network Setup (Help/Ideas)

Well im getting my new pc at end of week, i got problem of, im not sure how to set up all my stuff!

Here's what i got

• 
  [*]26" HD red TV (been using as monitor)
  [*]23" LCD HD monitor
  [*]Tower 1 (Old pc)
  [*]Tower 2 (New pc)
• Bros PC
  [*]WD My Book (usb connection, no Ethernet)
• Two Ethernet Cables (Planning on buying a switch box to split these two up)

Ideally, im looking to make it so my bro can Access my HDD through one of my pc's from his (Stops him nicking my mem stick!)

I also am looking for ideas how to hook up the stuff in my room (stuff in red on list) I will mainly be using my new pc.. but on odd occasion to use my old pc, and even both if i got a friend over.

I would like to keep my network separate to family one.. but accessible if needed, cause i dont trust my little sister, and dont want my mum accessing mine and brothers stuff

Any ideas/input will be taken, and any questions ask! ( i dont mind buying boxes n switches etc..)

Setup a Workgroup.

Add yours and your bro's pc to the same workgroup.

Then simple map your c drive as a network drive on his machine.

My computer > Map Network drive > \\your pc name]\c$

You may have to edit some permissions to give him full acces or only access to certain folders.

That's the most simple way I can think. You can share printers also.

How about things like should i set yp the pcs?

I had idea for linking up my pcs (not networking
New pc linked to Monitor
Old pc linked to Monitor and TV (if i have m8 over to use TV and old pc, or if i'm watching TV but want to use old pc for something)

is it possible to do this?

Yes, with some sort of switch/hub, and DVI to HDMI converters.
