Well, speaking to people I played different mirs with over the past few years. Quite a few seem unhappy with the drop rates. theres lots of level 40+ hunting in noob kits still and hunting noob caves for gold because of the lack of gold/items dropping. to my **** theres only one level 40 armor dropped as of yet? 2 judgement maces? no violet rings/ no items from past bichon yet. This aint a complaint thread- its just a thread pointing out that I no atleast 8 people that have left and another few that are coming close to leaving due to poor drops. Other peoples opinions more than welcome?

cheers

Again, this has to be said because people have gotten far too used to the "low rate" servers that have been around on LOMCN for the past 10 years or so....

The server is 2 weeks old. On a REAL low rate server, you should not expect a server to be full of drings/dragonrobes/judgementmaces after only being up for a few weeks. Euro mir was around for 5+ years and it wasn't flooded with rare items.

Stop whining and crying because you have to WORK for good gear. Go play somewhere else if you dont like it.

i didnt quit because of the drop rates, their absolutely fine.

I quit because they ****ed with PVP so much its now unbearable and is not fun anymore.

tho looking at the launcher i dont think its fair to say everyones leaving, a few of us will, but then we probarly didnt have the time for Mir neway, UC is still going strong.

tbh drops arent super bad, one of the things that making it look bad is the fact that npc's no longer sell what others sold to npc.
the first few days when it still worked, i bought myself gear that to this day is considered rare for most?

if npc's worked fine then you would see ALOT more mid level items being common
doesnt help ofcourse that there's like 500+ ppl competing over mid level boss's and gear atm

IMO the shop npcs whenever I open them up give me a feeling of harshness that is a put off, one factor that contributes to possible disenchantment with the server.

Mir server never ended in overboard situation from pple being able to buy someone else's junk they sold to the shops. Someone noted npc can be exploited but surely that doesn't include this npc function? Retaining items sold to shops shouldn't be too complicated to implement?

Best would be to bring back the shop style of early euro mir when the shop selling price was indicative of possible added stat on the item, which wasn't visible and you had to guess from the price and hope it won't be just added dura or some useless combination like mc on dc item etc. For many of us visit to a shop was like playing in casino, buying and selling back untill sometimes we hit the jackpot.

I think the problem is the fact that because Mir has been around for so many years means that alot of people are good at it.

Euro Mir started slow because no one knew how to play it.

People here are playing the game faster than the creators obviously thought hence why people are further than they maybe ought to be.

If people were expecting to join a long-term server with dss's and heaven armors etc then they have no idea what Mir is about - join some other crappy server where you can get everything you ever want and live in an anime paradise for a few quid.

But, genuine concerns would be
It's frustratingly hard and not at all natural to make gold here, I can understand some of the softer people giving up on it.
I'm not one of them yet, I have faith the whole thing will be sorted out.

Drop-wise, its safer to start extremely low and build up the files than just go straight in & have someone "get lucky" with a DSS on day 3 - as it usually sets the tone for the entire server thereafter.... things are getting a bit better but it is irritating how artificial it all feels right now - don't know whats rare & what isn't, and the economy is such that gold is simply too hard to come by to waste by buying expensive items should they drop on mass the next day....and even then we're seeing price inflation greatly above that of the games economy so I suspect something is going that shouldn't.

Drops are fine.

A lot of server by now would have RubyRings/DRings etc as shop items.

Violets become the new Ruby and worth hardly anything. Everyone has a level30 wep.

The only problem is people spending days and days of no sleep trying to level as fast as possible. Then moaning because they're level40 with crap kit.

PSC repeatable is really good if you want to farm cash, 50k a pop + exp + chance of drops in PSC.

yup, pretty much the only cave I've been hunting... wish there was repeatable's for more places though, i love PSC but being forced to go there for 15-20k profit per hour (with a sin partner) is abit monotonous to say the least.

Good point.

For the people moaning about the server, don't moan just leave.

Jesus man, everyday someone else makes a new post bitching cos they don't get everything on a plate for them. I think its fine as it is. The way it is makes you have to work for gear and also makes it mean more. The way you lot whine makes me think that you probably still get waited on hand and foot off mammy n daddy. Do they still cut up your food for you? Man up and get on with it or play another server, no 1 is forcing you to play this 1.
Not tying everyone with the same brush before i get flamed lol

Was slow before PI patch. As sin it only made sense to level in PI when I got lev22, instead I should be in mines or BC in my twenties
