Pet Parking

Just a random thought... Is there any way to "Park" players NPC's so that they can be recovered after logging out??

Would be nice to have an option of selling them back to the seller or to another player too...

Any ideas on the possibilities of this?

yes this maybe possable
in short (and no i am not doing the npc for it)

click npc beforing logging out

#if
check pet_birth woomataurus
add to name list
close

when logged back in
#if
check name list (playername)
pet_birth woomataurus
delete from name list
close

just doing this off the top of my head will need to be thought about and check put in place so payers dont take advantage of it

and yes i know that commands above are all wrong but am just giving the idea and showing that it maybe possable

I'll pass this over to the server maker, hopefully he'll know more about what to do with it.

Does anyone else have any suggestions about this? No matter how irrelevant.

If anyone does feel generous enough to create a working npc for pet parking, then I'm sure almost ALL the private servers, possibly even Euro Mir would be grateful to receive the data =)

will not be doing this npc now but whenever i get an afternoon will do it up
and post it here for all

server hardware will be up for friday myself and Bio will be testing it out fully prob run a mir2 and mir3 server on it at the same time so how the hardware holds up

If you pm me over the weekend I will prob have the patches ready so you can get on server

i have made this for Mir3 however it reads the info from sql however it can be easily placed in namelists n tht, it is possible.

or else i can edit your script to work for mir2 if you will let me

it depends on how your pet system is worked, mir3 is more simply as it just reads the petname in the sql however itll b more complicated for mir2,

I may be a bit behind in the competition stakes. But surely if the script is viewed over be 2 or 3 people, then a working copy, which could, and would, be the intellectual property of the initial designer, could be developed faster??

Would it not, therefore, benefit all players and gm's of all mir2 servers?

Or am I just being presumtious again? If I knew how to do it, it'd be posted here as soon as I finished it...

I am hosting a mir2 and mir3 server and so is EE
so therefore we in competition
just a bit of fun at the end of the day

as for the NPC it will be done just not at the mo as dont have the time
but when it is done it will be uploaded to LOMCN
