Pets dying (not a rage)

Pets were rested while myself and another wiz killed Kinghog , with no untame warning they individually died (popped) nothing was hitting them. Is this correct now regarding pets that if they have been tamed for more than 24hrs they will just explode with no untame while lvling/bossing/pvping??

I can see the argument that no pet should last for eternity but if i had been soloing a harder boss/or pvping i would have probably had to tt.. some clarification would be fantastic as to what i can expect from 24 hr+ pets while bossing/pvping

I feel that 24 hours is enough time to have a pet.
There has to be a disadvantage at some point.

dont be so sure m8 ... ty for response bh and i think 24h is ample it was just the unexpected loss of pets that took me by suprise .

We could prob add a line of code to say that the timer is running out.

the reason for the instant rt is because i dont know how to pvp a player that dashes me from 4 spaces away..this is the reason you have never killed me thx for the flame tho:P
