Phoenix Server OGs – Anyone remember the Elite vs. 5th Element wars?

I’ve been thinking a lot about the old days on the Phoenix server lately. I was Bruenor and I ended up joining 5th Element because I had a grudge against Elite due to the Teleport Ring. My mates IRL Jarlaxle, Blank, and Petrona all started on day one, and we ended up right in the thick of it.
Does anyone else remember the absolute chaos between Elite and 5th Element? DiabloDoom nicked that Teleport Ring from Jarlaxle, and Elite kicked him out straight after. I was in 5th Element with Rosebud and Lord Nicon, while Petrona stayed with Elite, so things got pretty interesting between us. Eventually, there was a war at Sabuk Wall. I still clearly remember Petroni and his group trying to use that stolen Teleport Ring to teleport in and take us out.

Me and a friend took shared ownership of Blank for a while, and we did a 48-hour shift-based grind just to level from 28 to 35 people were convinced we were cheating, but we were just knackered and determined. I remember going to stone temple with a guild name based on Lord of the Rings— i think it was Dunedain to get a great axe. I also met a guy called Undestructable and we made a guild called Heaven and Hell. I even remember seeing Nickphil soloing Bug Cave all the time, never bothering with the guild politics.

I’m still mates with Jarlaxle, Blank and Petrona. Does anyone else remember this? If there’s anyone left from the 5th Element days, or even from the old Elite crowd, it would be great to hear from you. Anyone still around?

I played Phoenix during that period of time. if I remember correctly that was when DiabloDoom created a guild called DiGiTaLDooM or something like that with Dartar and BananaMan though my memory may not be 100%

Was it Lord Nicon who was such a PITA on the forum getting hysterical with the staff. Then at some point his 40+ char was banned and he said he would get to 40 in a week or was it 30 days, anyway he did that but then mysteriously vanished from scene, maybe burned out doing that lev40 in a short time?

He also did a dumb thing, he had a blade, whatever it was called, I think lev26 weapon, was fairly rare thing at the time, he had zero dura on it and hit someone with it and it shattered, I still remember his dismay. In those days using weapons on zero dura was a risk.
