how do u actually change the colour of items using photo shop plz

If you want to manually edit the colours using the colour replacement tool or just a normal brush tool you will need to click IMAGE>MODE>RGB COLOUR then do what you need to do and make sure you set the mode back IMAGE>MODE>INDEXED COLOUR before you save it back as a .bmp.

Best way to be sure its gonna work always overwrite the file your editing! I have had problems in the past when creating a new .bmp
