PlayMir - Classic Mir Rebuilt
We are getting ready to open the next stage of PlayMir, and this is not just a basic files-and-rates server.
The goal is simple: keep the classic Legend of Mir feeling, but add modern progression, better hunting goals, and more reasons to log in every day.
Infrastucture changes:
Delphi Server updated to 64bit, better memory usage. Network code optimisations. It just.. generally runs a lot better.
Client updated to OpenGL. Resolution increase and FSR Upscaling integrated. Now the game loks better.
New and improved features include:
Breach:
Breach corrupted monsters roam all dungeons triggering loot and experience events.
Rogue Exiles:
"Intelligent" PVP driven player-monsters roam dungeons, they drop added stat items they are wearing but are quite dangerous so approach with care.
Automated Dungeon Instances: (Think Albion online)
Random doors open up around the world, they are completely random. Short dungeons that give bonuses to experience and loot, but may have to be defended from other players.
New Triggered Quest System:
All monsters ingame can trigger random kill quests of different tiers, monsters are assigned factions depending on the areas they spawn in.
Reputation System:
Bichon, Mongchon, Serpent, Woomyon and Prajna are the five factions, completing quests generates reputation, this can be used to unlock new quests and the quartermaster item vendors.
Arena System:
Glicko2 MMR system integrated into a website ladder with prizes for rank1,2,3 each week.
Instances generate fightzones that teleport you from your hunting location to your fight, then return you back to your original location whether you win or lose.
MMR automatically resets weekly. Arena daily quests to earn Honour points which can be used on the Arena Merchant to buy small experience and combat potions.
Full Chinese Translation:
Game is fully playable in Chinese and English, potentially adding more languages at a later date.
Website integrated Trust Merchant and Armoury:
View characters, browse and buy items off the auction house all from your web browser or phone.
Armoury is a system that lets you browse the items and skills of other players, share your character with friends. Browse the ladder.
Treasure Goblins.
Not going to say much about these, random spawn, they laugh at you and run away.
New Magic and Monster AI
New skills for all classes up to level 70, monster Monster AI fully up to date with Korean Mir2.
New Lighting System
Influenced by Evils Illusion Mir3. Caves flash and in the awe of your magic.
VIP Only and Cosmetic game shop:
No Exp pots, No Hard Torches. The only monetisation is VIP buff and cosmetic stuff like global shouts and transforms.
