After trying for days of getting sql server running on my 64bit machine, ive given up. and instead am running a virtual machine to host my mir3 server.

for some reason i cant install drivers (my gfx card) on the virtual machine, so mir wont run smoothly.

How do i port forward my virtual machine so i can run it from there and use my client from my actual machine?

my virtual machines ip is 192.168.131.65, which my router doesnt recognise as a real ip.

on the virtual machines ethernet settings i only have local or NAT as a connection choice. using nat allows me to connect to the internet, and i can get an external ip from it.

but mir wont run on my actual pc, so im presuming its because i need to forward the 3 ports.

any help on fixing this would be great.

also, is there a better program besides microsoft virtual pc 2007 to use?

Not the best way to run a server in my opinion however i think you just forward the ports via the network firewall.

you can set your ip to one of the valid ips from your router.

use virtual server instead of virtual pc if you are thinking about long term.
