Port Forwarding...

Well as im on a router... it deals out 3 internect conns, myself, bros and sis's. Main source ran thru my brothers...

Im wondering is it dangerous to port forward your router... and can someone show me a guide for dummies lol, aint had a look on search but have previously and never showed me anything good.


All i wanna do is get a server online testing and **** like that.

Hey,

You only forward ports for 1 pc not all of them on the router.

Find your router on here follow the guide for it.

My model os ADSL-FR4II and it aint on there also im runnin thru a modem apparently too.

NVM got it, but what game am i forwrding for as it doesnt have mir.

Read the guide for your router and just copy the guide but use the ports 7000 7100 7200 instead of the ones on the guide.

Okies iv got a bit further than last post...


So far iv gone onto my Router site 192.168.1.1

Mapped Ports 3000, 7000, 7100, 7200 to my IP 192.168.1.X

Im on DM2 and i have changed all the ips inside these files...

DBSERVER
!addrtable.txt
!serverinfo.txt
dbrsc.ini

GAMEGATE
config.ini

LOGINGATE
config.ini

LOGINSRV
!addrtable.txt
!serveraddr.txt
Logsrv.ini

Selgate
Config.ini

M2SERVER
!runaddr.txt
!setup.txt - on this one the ip's to change r near the bottom of script
!servertable.txt

changed to 192.168.1.X which is my static IP.


Asked someone to get online they cnt get in :S i gave them my external IP still cant.

So **** knows what to do.. any helps appreciated my router is a Mentor FR4II.

Hey - you dont change all the ips to your router ip you need to have some ips which have ur global ip i cant remember where and which 1's though sorry.

Hope this helps as a rough guide line, The rest of the ips should be set to your internal ip adress that the router provided your computer with!

Ok done everything like u and the guide said still aint working, c nobdy can connect and even my other pc cnt connect. Heres a few pics...

Should i change that to static? my ISP didn't give me 1 btw it was myself who set 1 up.
