Private offline testers for tomorrow...

Hey guys,

I know its a little short notice, but I could really do with a handful of offline testers to help me test a couple of focus key areas that will be changed as of 1.9...

I really need a couple of experienced melee pvpers and a couple of experienced pvp casters.

I have changed a couple of aspects that mainly effect pvp and want to clarify that they have improved the experience rather than made it worse :P...

The reason I only want a handful is because it is easier for me to manage and focus on the individual aspects that I am hoping to have tested...

Please state if you are interested and I will get a private server setup tonight.

please becareful about who u pick. Reading the balance thread, alot of people are only interested in the good of the class they are using.

Pvp a lot as a 'sin so I can help cover your melee pvp if need be, on throughout the day but consistently after 4:30pm

What time? I'm on from after 5:15pm. I feel I'm one of the few archers that doesn't feel we need a buff so would happily test.

This could be a terrible idea if the right people are not chosen. Everyone wants their class to be the dominant one, so i think there only a select few people who would actually give a fair review on the changes... Koriban made some good points on the other thread, so if hes free i think he should have a part to play in it.

Of course. The melee guys will cry about the casters and vice versa. At the end Samuel will have to decide on his own, probably watching them all pvp will be very helpful and fun to watch

I agree with peoples comments on being biased to their own class, I am in one sense biased to my own, but it's not saying "its bad compared to other classes" more "you could do this to improve assassins fighting against (insert class)" e.c.t.

You will always have a degree of support for your own class to others, you don't want you class to suck.
But if you can be constructive about your own class and how to improve it (with reason and justification to why it should be changed) that would be okay.
Certain things that are flagged as overpowered, aren't, they may be too strong, but overpowered to me is something that is game changing-ly strong - if flame field, for instance hit 200 damage to all targets would be overpowered.

Anyway, Sure Sam has people in mind and how he's going to do all of the testing

Fights without any mobs can be very different. Try different enviroments, BDD fight with archer mobs etc would be realistic enough.

Personal opinion is just use c10 to test (prepares for flames).
They are prob the one grp that's got there **** together and cover all the classes so wont be biased there, they are experienced pvpers and less likely to be biased one way or the other if they are pvping amongst friends. Also they seem to enjoy the challenge of a good fight so why would they wanna make it unfair?

For the love of god dont pick ExCaLa. Youll end up reducing ArrowBarrage level 3 to lvl 40 and quadrupling its damage and giving it no cooldown.

why when i drop you in 1 now? grab a tissue.
and as for the cool down it's not that bad 16 secs at level one it all depends if it stays the same at 2-3
