can any 1 tell me how 2 get on a private server(never bin on 1 b4). wer do u enter the ip address etc 2 get on 1 and iz that all uve got 2 do? thx in advance :]

First find a server in the server advertisements section.
Download their patches, which should come with edited INI's and a hacked mir.exe so you can connect to their server.
When there is an IP change open your mir2 folder and edit all the .INI text files to suit the new IP.
