Problem ODBC Driver

Hi all

i had Apocolypse running on my old system perfectly ive now upgraded to
a better gaming system....

im now getting an error in 2nd gate and not sure what to do.....

ive tried basicly everything in my knolage and unable to continue
can anybody help me plz as im really eager to get
Apocolypse back online.....

Check your configuration and your DB structure are OK, your ODBC driver is ok, only shows to you the error ODBC has encountered when load one Table in DB.

I hope this serves you.

how would i check this as i have set it as i did on the other pc...

open up your system dsn tab in odbc...

go in to account and game dbs, make sure they are pointing to the right db.

don't forget to click the test odbc connection to try.

now make sure in db server you are using the right dsn.

ive Done the ODBC again all DB are in there and they all say test complete
Account Conlog Crueldragon3gbasedata Game3g Hero3g Manage
all connect successfully...

is there anything missing i did have a few other setting on my other pc like
GlobalCar but its not there this time ill take a few screen shots of my settings maybe this will help....

the next question is...

db server's config...

is it pointing to the game3g db and account db correctly? dsn id pass etc...

Hi again

Server loads its that problem thats stopping every 1 make a char....
ppl with chars allready they are unable to see once logged in...
and also when ppl go to make a char it sais char already exists wich they do not...

any ideas on what to do from here as my brain is slowly draining away :S

it seems this TBL_STDMODE that loads in HolleyDBSvr is the main problem.....

Server load is a problem if you run everything in 1 box. (1 cpu)
You tweak the load by lowering the cpu priority in the task manager.

TBL_STDMODE is in Game3G, so triple check your Game3G db and make sure you are using the right one.

Restore the original one and try as well.

ive tried everything in my power its just not giving up with this error...
ive tried restarting 3 times over and i cant see myself doing it wrong tbh ive managed so mny servers but never come up with this problem.....

is there anything else u can think of at all any help would be great thanks...

I've left this post a while to see what answers and fixes can be given in aid to help you Moody and to see if you could figure it out yourself.

I'm ashuming that when you changed machines for the server, that you backed everything up.

So you have used the SQL BACKUP for the DB's

When you backed up the SQL DB's was you doing anything at the time, that could have interupted the backup.

Your TBL_STDMODE has become corrupt when it was being backed up, do as Kaori says and restore the CD.DB to one before you backed up and see if that then works.

The best steps with anythings is always going to be the back step, so where it went wrong from back step and try somthing else.

yet again i tried restoring with fresh D/B files DSN matching and yet comming up with the same error...

ive spent so much time trying to figure out whats happening and yet im getting no further server is loading still but unable to entre from char screen as this error TBL_STDMODE loading in HolleyDBSvr.exe,,,,

mapadale if i can manage to catch you on msn maybe i can get you to remote me as ur an engineer maybe ull find an error or my error without me completely pulling my hair out lol....

also if any 1 can think of anything i can try plz post here i will be logged on forum till problem has been sorted....

woot at last i finally managed to fix server problem was i didnt add Game3g to svrdb inplace was account....

so the answer to my question.....

i done it about 13 times over trying to fix the error can i actualy be stupid enuff to do it wrong 13 times?

now you no your answer lol :S.....

how do i get the level on the char screen to match the level on server?

without this working im unable to add rankins....
