problem with mir and my pc maybe!

hi well as tittle says i am getting problems. so i have downloaded a few servers files now (so i can go on and play the game) all installs ok but then when i click exe to load game the diammond R comes up on my start bar but the screen is just like 3/4 white and seems to do nothing after this i am useing windows vista with virgin media broadband. as i said this has happend when i d/led furian,usamir and also mir rev and help would be greatful thanks 4 takeing time to read this hope some 1 can help me fix my problem thanks...

Right click the mir exe select properties and open the compatibility tab, select run in 256 colours, if that doesnt work try running in compatability mode for an earler version of windows.

done this got a bit better well no i get black screen now and can just hear music but cannot see any thing else

Only other thing i can surgest is trying it with a different exe, sometimes an incompatible exe can cause you problems, also make sure your data files are sitting in your client folder properly, having them not in the correct place would cause the main menu not to appear...
