hi, im tryin to setup my server and well i havnt got very far and already come accross a problem!
when i try and restore the database's for account, conlog etc etc in sql i get this error message:

"File 'C:Mir\' is claimed by 'Account_Log'(2) and 'Account_Data'(1). The WITH MOVE clause can be used to relocate one or more files. RESTORE DATABASE is terminating abnormally."

any idea wat this means or wat i am doing wrong...? i thought i may have the wrong files but i have the ones posted on mf.kaorimir.com that are confirmed working... lol any help appreciated.

i have also tried to locate the files Account_Log and Account_Data but they are no where on my comp so that cannot be the problem.. any help pls?

Hello,
Screen looks once, a lot that is calibrated your problem, the Chinese Signs, constructs simply a new path, e.g. C:\\mir\XXXX and attempts it renewed. And force the Restoren.

damn look self ur scrren m8 grrrrrrrr
u havent read the guide rly step by step
to restore a db u first must create one on ur screen i see only the dbs that was there before
take an old db make right click on it and click on newdb give it the name from the guide (Account crueldragon3gbasedata hero3g and so on) u must build all 6 db´s first than make the odbc part that ur OS can connect to the sql db´s and than and not before only than restore the db like u did to the right db that u had create best is read the guide again

lo atm,

Look once here that a very good and simple guide is, in this way it is very easy even with an absolute new newcomer. SQL and Co is the easiest the great problems come first still.
Hopes you use the 3.38 server the the is a whole thing easier than that one 3.55 server.

Step by Step Guide:

http://www.liquidsilver.110mb.com/

Hp: Which language do you speak? good English is eigendlich very much of be useful otherwise you have the same problems as I have it and that is really not ^^ well

Subject matter of the error report, the same error report often had. One can go around that one eigendlich very easily bzw if one makes it correct it is no error Look under option near restore DB, then you see the problem or begins again completely again and do it exactly as it in the guide (see link) step by step.

Rly?

B. Now After we type the Databse name, we press "From Device", Press Select Device. Press ADD and go find the Corresponding Database to restore.
C. Quite Often the database when backed up on one Computer was located in a Different Place to where you will want to restore this. If for example the Database used to Live on the D Drive under DATA - it will FAIL as you do not have a D Drive or a DATA Directory, SQL Will not make directories for you.
To Change this, Press Options on the Tab:
sql11.jpg

Type into here (or copy and Paste) the Location you wish the database to Live, myself I choose :
C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL\Data\
And whatever the Database name is (in above example C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL\Data\account_Data.MDF)

This Guide is very easy.
And all what there stay is correct, when you make so than must run.
Show: C: or D: Where copy you the File?
i have this:
e:\mssql server\datendateien\MSSQL\data\account_Data.MDF
when this not work make a new Pfad:
c:\account_Data.MDF

no china sighns
