Problems with Map Editor

Hi Ive made several maps using the 1.4 client (There pretty good =P) but anyway ive tried putting the map editor in 1.9 and the tiles messed up. Is this unusal or its not possbile to use 1.9 tiles for the map editor?

download a different tile.wil ect thats what i did i had same problem

the 1.9's data is different from 1.4, therefor it will be messed up...
