Looks like your cpu is overheating.

Take off the heatsinks and reapply a thin layer of thermal paste and make sure your case has GOOD ventilation.

ill go out and buy some on monday.

a few things i tried that seem to have made a difference..

-took my box out of the desk cupboard, seemed to get quite hot in there.
-moved the graphics from high quality, to quality, back to high quality (no idea why that works, but it seems to have)
-shout at it and call it my b1tch.

restarts once every 3 hours or so now.

when i use things such as word, nero, ps7, doesnt restart at all. when i use even an old demo game it will restart constantly. seems to have slowed down slightly now though.

is it always when they are full screen? maybe it's a GFX card problem like, not liking the new resolutions or something

GFX would likely freeze rather than restart.

I'm still bettin on CPU, since when you took it out of that hotter enviroment it restarts less now, not to mention those temps were way too hot anyway.
Umm i got told that upto 60C the temperature should be fine without problems, or it's like one CPU can handle 80C and the other will **** up at 50C?

Varies greatly between different brands, models, and cores.

I like to recommend to keep load always below 50c, 55c if it's a really hot month. I've personally experienced errors over 55c with some A64's. Then again, this was overclocked with a lot of voltage, so don't nobody say I said A64's were unstable.

P4's on the other hand can take a lot of heat, simply because they start out with a LOT more heat than A64's.
