cruel dragon is only a patch to those files.

people have released their work, many times. but other people dont apprieciate it so they stop releasing. its really not hard to translate the files yourself.

All sounds peachy but a few Points...

I also have many contacts that work with Mir3, databases and hexing/editing and alot of unlimited webspace.
If 'these people are so good, why dont they provide you with the files in english, all working etc???

As for fast links, unlimited space etc -- sounds great until you come to a few home truths really...the latest server uses a 'Untouched client' - which means you dont need ANY Web Space to host client files whatsoever. A 256K Connection can hold easy 85 people - I cannot see us replicating China with average 950+ online at all. Another point - you said "at work" - hosting Illegal FIles on a machine at work Might well cost you your job - what you gonna do when Wemade come after you??? As Farril Said though the files are about - if you want the latest then your going have to work on it - I have released (though I dont share anymore) JOB Server (which no one wants no - so old fashioned eh) and 3G Envir dir .....

Good luck though..

my work servers are perfectly masked dont worry, a telecommunications company that cant mask a server? what sort of company would we be! my contacts will only come in use when i have at least the barebones of the server ready, e.g. when its up and accessible by them, they will then start doing some funky stuff to the files. Thats why im so eager to get it up and running.

Wierd that SQL wont install - I generally use the Enterprise version on a Windows 2003 Box fully patched up etc and had no problems with that apart from Windows 2003 telling me I must update to latest SP or it might not be very safe (LOL)...

what do you mean not working?

you install the program, choose your password, add the database names, restore the databases. all done.

ODBC. setup system DNS, add the same table names choose your sql name (local) usually, insert your password, choose the correct table to match. all done.

you should have no problems what so ever.

ill check out Demonics setup guide, ill give it another go today as it was about 2am when i was doin it last night. But heres where i got to, Set up SQL 2000 server properly and started the SQLSERVERAGENT in services.msc. Went into ODBC data sources and User DSN tab clicked add. Selected SQL server Named it Account selected (local) server, logged into SQL with username sa and my password. here is where i get stuck, my guide says in the dropdown box should be the database i need, but i dont see why the feck it should be cus i havnt set up. P.S im not very good with databases, (networks, connectivity and topoligy are my strong points).

Hopefully the new guide will help me.

Stoy.

you need to add your tables in sql enterprise before you setup ODBC. then your tables will appear in a drop down box. btw. its system DSN, not user DSN.
