Can you put a PS1 memory card in a PS2 and save a PS1 game to it?

Cos my sister wanting to play a PS1 game on my ps2, but she cant save it on the ps2 memory card.

So can you put a ps1 memory card in to save a ps1 game?

i know u cant save PS2 games on ps1 memory cards.

well im pretty sure that it is possible
but since i got my psz didnt see the need to play any ps1 games so ive sold them along with my memoery cards so i cnt test!
but i do think that it works!

Saving a PS1 game to a PS1 memory card ALWAYS works.
Saving a PS2 game to a PS1 memory card may work, never tried it.
Saving a PS1 game to a PS2 memory card DOESN'T work.
Saving a PS2 game to a PS2 memory card DEFINATLY works.

u can plug a ps1 mem card in a ps2 and save ps1 games on it simple as..
