Please dont reply to what i say by saying its alot better than any of my work as i do know that..

What i wanted to say was, yes its a decent piece and i believe the end result is very effective to say it doesnt look like a amazingly hard piece to put together.

On another note i do believe everyone should stop 'bumming' it, as yes its good but it aint anything amazing, there are better pieces out there and no i wont point them out to you to prove my point.

Think what this piece does show is, you dont have to have lots of skills in photoshop to create a very effective piece of work.

-With the last point i made, i am not saying you dont have any skills im just saying this piece doesnt look like anything that others could not do with a little inspiration.

Wittin firstly is THE most modest designer I have ever met, he takes in all advice and truly listens to what people have to say... and it worries me to think he might take in your frankly **** novice advice.

Yes the work is simplistic, some of the best pieces of art in the world were made with simplicity... it's an art in its self and if you can get it to the level shown above then you can quite easily become professional. It's not all about sticking 20 renders and 20 brushes in the piece you retard.

Every bad comment on here is made through jealousy, and frankly it's laughable... but to combat your points:

1. That's complete bull****, the contrast is perfect and the back gradient is one of the strongest aspects of the piece, it makes it what it is.

2. WHAT THE ****? You think that because other people think he's great means that HE should be "so professional"!? You're so ****ing pathetic; other people love his work because it's GOOD. He doesn't claim to be professional, but tbh I work with graphic designers in my job role and Wittin kicks the **** out of most of them for placement and use of resources mixed with simplicity. These guys also charge like £1,000 for an ad.


And Tofas, for the record... liking someone's work is out of respect, the only things you show in this thread is disrespect. His piece is amazingly hard, that's something the **** GD wannabes of this forum will never understand, the reason it is hard is because you would never think of it, your placement would be crap, you would choose gash colours and the "look" of your piece would not work. That's the key to great art, not cramming it full of pretty **** in hope that it might look cool.

To start off his work isnt hard to make, and its far from amaizing, if anything i very much dought anyone here would be jelous of him, well why would you?. Is his work original? No. Ipixel was doing this crap in 2004 but besides the point the 'splash page' is quite common.

What i recommend for you my friend is to visit some forums which actually require skill and i will guarantee wittin will not win, nor be in the top 100. For 1000quid. Why?

1.Photoshop sucks unless your a professional that draw's images than paints and makes a masterpiece.
2. His work isnt original and its simple to make so other people can easily make it and claim as their idea.

And please tell me this 'forum' where people actually pay the guy 1000quid to make an advert but wittin wipes the floor with them all?.
Oh and if you really worked with one which i very much dought as your talking alot of bull**** just so wittin can let you suck his ****.

Only complaint i've got is that the gradient appears to be a bit steep, I can see some banding in the mid sections. Might just be image compression artifacts, though.

Yes, it was saved as a JPG. Did you save as > 90 quality?

Either way, I'd recommend saving in 24 bit PNG. It's lossless, after all

Clearly not once have I claimed to be amazing at graphics, I simply don't get the time to learn full vector or 3d object design, and therefore I probably wont ever be able to reach the level of some deviants. I create these pieces as a hobby, not as anything serious. I have no aims to be a graphics designer in the future and usually arn't offended when people dislike something in my work. You however are an arogant tosser, and have pissed me off.

You claim Ipixel was doing this back in 2004... Ipixel was doing vector graphics, just because mine has a hint of vector in it (which not all of my art does) I'm apparently unoriginal... (so what? i can't use vector's in my art anymore?). Heck, I didn't even say that was a splash screen... It's just a design dumbass.

I could continue this, but it's wasting my time. So here's the bottom line

For the record, I work in recruitment for Southampton City Council... we use Lawton’s advertising for our newspaper and city view publications to recruit people, Lawton do the designing and we pay for it. That's how I know about it - we deal with them, they charge a **** load of money for a job he could do better, but we don't change our processes because that's how it's "always been done" (local government for you). Don't try and call my bluff kid, I own your ass.
