alright im in a decent mood today, so ive decided to do this.

Anyway, im usually a prick to when most of you ask questions, so now, ask any question design/photoshop related and ill give you the best answer i can :yyyipe:

Dont ask stupid questions like "how do i open photoshop" etc, just decent questions that you would like the answer to.

kthnx.

my background was done in adobe illustrator CS, i just used the pen tool and a default font with -200 spacing to get the effect.

Some good brush packs would be the following :-

http://www.8nero.net/brushes/

A great load of assorted brushes, these are the only brushes i use, if any.

Hope that helps.

Illustrator is a vector package, aimed for people doing illustration work, or work needed for print.

Depending on what your using your artwork for, photoshop is great for web images, and can create the same vectored feel, whereas if you want your work to stay the same quality when resized for print, vector in illustrator is definately the way to go.

how do i make my fonts look less crappy and jagged?

When drawing text in PS, look up at the tool menu bar, its under the main toolbar, find a drop down with settings such as "smooth, strong, crisp, none"

If your getting jaggy/non anti aliased text, its usually because its on none.

Try one of the others and it should look ok.

where do you get your good fonts / brushes from m8? is there loveheart a brush?

thanks in advance

loveheart is a custom shape in ps 7.0, don't know about others ;o

Question:

If you say want to add four boxes parallel to each other, but spaced apart... is there an easier way to position them than zooming in, getting the position and moving slowly with a steady hand? Quite irritating >_<

Make a new layer.

Use the polygon lasso tool to make the shape. Fill it with black then lower the opacity. (DON'T DESELECT YET)

Make a new layer.

Add a 2 pixel white stroke (to inside), then a 1 pixel black stroke (to inside).

Get rid of any of the stroke you don't want (by using eraser / select it then delete).

Something like that..

Or use the polygon lasso tool to create the shape of border you want then press ctrl and u and turn the saturation right down.
Another question from myself, When you're moving something when you get nearly to the top or bottom of the image it automattically goes to the top or bottom. How do you stop this happening?
