What's the performance gain of a Intel® Core™ 2 Duo processor based laptop versus previous generation Intel® Centrino®-based laptops?

Is it:

1) 70%
2) 50%
3) No gain

I would like the correct answer for this for a competition to win a lappy :P I havn't got a clue what the 100% correct answer is =/ I was going to guess 70%, but im not too sure :(

Thanks :D

i bet u can calculate it somehow, u need to see how much % u can save if u can do 2 things in the same time, without knowing the answere (unless u calculate it too), its like to solve f(x)=sqrt(x) and to compare the time ur spending.
now i dont know what method they r using to solve the equations, so i cant really solve it, but i would say arround 70% too.

i will try to explain this in a more simple way:
2 ppls r trying to solve together some equation, now they want to save time, so each 1 need to do deffrent part of the equation f(x)=sqrt(x), so if they r using numeric analysis, each 1 will be able to solve some part and then they will combine the answere so they will answere it faster. it cant be 100% improvement as its not like each 1 is answering a whole deffrent part of the equation, it will be less, but there will be improvement in this as each 1 help the other to solve it.
