Selling gg items completely unbalances it if you get a rich guy flooding the merchant with exp pots etc and outbidding everyone else for items how hells did on zircon
Can we have a respond to this please ;w;Do we have any information on how experience and grouping works on this server? as it seems to differ from server to server. Will I be better off just hunting with one other player or would a full group of players be just as viable/fast?
every game needs donations. ive never been a big donator my self . that being said ive seen others spend 100s -1000s and i have nothing negative to say about it other than it helps the server and the server team to do more updates ect. people who are negative are just salty about the fact the people who can donate have that much to be able to and not effect them. small exp pots i dont see why they should not be in. ive played loads of servers were i haven't donated. But been able to either buy from or gain in some sort of way (drops or quest) i would probably donate 20 just for starter pack but thats just me. others would pay 500-1000s all depends on bank roll. if gms want to allow exp pots in gg i see no issue bottom line. good luck
Umm you guys remember that warrior skill in mir2usa which is similar to shoulder dash but you teleport and cut through your enemys doing decent damage is that gonna be in ? i'd love to see warriors getting more then the usual old skills i think its called slashingburst ? not sure tbh be nice to know if theres something new planned for that class
Honestly thought the same till zircon. It's ok giving people an advantage, it's not ok for one player to donated 2k plus and outbid everyone for everything
Hells on zircon literally had 150 quid worth of exp pots 150 quid worth of meats etc for sale was mental he had like 2-3 screens of each item in tm. It's all fine while people are donating 20 quid here and there as soon as a rich Arab or someone takes it to the next level it becomes impossible.
I always put 20 plus quid in as I view it the same as buying a FIFA game or similar.
I also dont believe you should be able to trade GG. You have already said you are having it in drop files, so whats the point of making it tradeable? your just asking for the economy to be ruined.
One of the big issues i see in most servers is the disparity between top and bottom. There should be a difference for time and donations etc, but not unlimited.
Idealists may believe that the hardcore dont need to spend as they use their time, and casuals donate for GG because they dont have the time, but that isnt how it works in reality.
The hardcore are also the big donators, and when they have both the huge ingame gold accrual and the big donations, they effectively make gold more and more worthless day by day, and casuals doing sub bosses find their best haul's worth a pittance, and the disparity between the top and bottom is ever growing.
I always think Gold and GG should not mix. It either makes gold worthless or scarce, never balanced.
IMO and this probably wouldn't be of major benefit to the server in terms of financials BUT I would offer a three tier subscription service.
Silver
Gold
Platinum
Each would be a "subscription" (doesn't auto renew) each sub would give perks such as % increase on EXP, % increase on gold drop, extra warehouse space etc. Not massive amounts but enough that you would want to subscribe (1.2x, 1.4 and 1.6x exp and gold? 10, 20, 30 extra storage rows at bank?) and remove any and all other GG shop items that offer benefits such as buffs. This doesn;t create some magical fair playing field, but it does prevent someone pouring £500 in to a server and having a massive advantage.
Second to this I would add a selection of cosmetic items to the GG shop, strictly cosmetic though so sex change, hairdresser, armour dye, mount skins (requires you have base mount first).
But this isn't the United States of Sacred (thankfully I'm sure) but to me it would help resolve a lot of the P2W mentality without drying up all of the subs to the server. This in itself would help maintain a more "euro" feel as we wont have people spending thousands into a server to ensure that they have the bigger collection of pixels. The biggest drawback is that this offers the least financial reward to the team behind the server.
It was a nightmare, he even use to buy up loads of resurrection pills and share them out to his guild prior to any PvP battles, he must have thrown thousands and thousands into the server before he was banned for attempting to recall his payments.
It allowed a single person to basically control the entire market in the game as they amassed so much wealth from selling GG items via the auction house.
I'm more worried about things like Chinese bots/gold sellers and their effect on the economy than anything else. They pumped over 1Bn gold into Zircon which caused major issues, full guild running round with red horses (200m each?) and none of the characters had done anything to amass the amount of gold required to own one.
your so wrong hells had 0 control over the market if anything he made it cheaper. He put pet food up for sale people would undercut him he wasn't smart so didn't buy the cheaper ones up to relist and his stuff would sit there for weeks on end i bought alot of his stuff while i was in the guild for "guild rates" and turned it all around for a nice profit. the res pill buying is nothing but bullshit as well sure a few got given out but nothing to the scale like your trying to imply was given out tho
