no im not really planning to clock my pc, not yet anyway. and i dont think trying to clock a p4 3.0ghz xeon processor wld b a good idea? lol.
so, say if theres a corsair 512mb stick at 400, and a samsung 512mb stick at 400mhz, wld u be able to notice any difference? i want to get the best stuff i can buy.
staying roughly on the same topic, whats the best processor i can buy for about £200? ill b using it for games/movies/programming/work etc,
+ would a stick at pc4200 be any use? or shld i stick to 3200?
Well, if brand names offer you extra comfort, get the Corsair. Else get the Samsung.
If you;re going to spend > 50% of your time playing games, go with a AMD processor, else, get a Pentium4 with Hyperthreading.
If you're getting PC4200, might be a good idea to get some brand name stuff, especially since you said you won't be overclocking :P

@Andeh: I bought some Corsair PC3200 stuff, slapped it into my AMD 2600+ box, BSODs everywhere.
Did it again, same thing.
Oh, the memories =/
