I have checked over many threads about lagging out and none of them quite match my situation

I have mainly noticed it on my wizard who is now level 32, it seemed to first start when i tamed tongs for the first time.

randomly I get lagged out completely i could go and put the kettle on and come back and im lagged out completely or I could be chatting to someone and if i dont move for a min or two i lag out,

As you may have gathered when your trying to get 5 tongs to level 7 it does tend to get rather annoying when your in the middle of town you leave your character to go to make a drink or something else. even when ive had the warning that the pets are going to untame.

This does not seem to have any specific issue with area as ive been in market ive been in BW and MW was in ST when it happenend first time with me

*what i have tried already*
complete game reinstall
tried leaving my character without pets in a random place for a long period (this was fine)
updateing all my drivers and such on my pc.

seems to only crash on a quick time frame if i have pets.

Has anyone got any suggestions or had simular issues and fixed them.

Thanks

tried something i was suggested in game by renaming the mir2.dat to mir.exe although is a bit more stable still geting same issue completly randomly now not sure if its any conflict with programs that may be running on my system. before someone comes back with "OMG YOUR RUNNING PERFORMANCE MODS" or something of that nature i do not run stuff to modify the game.
I would like some help as this is one of the better servers ive played in a long while and these lag outs for no reason that i can not figure out why they are occuring are starting to wind me up..

just tried a complete reinstall of my whole PC i.e. windows 7 64 bit and also used a VMware system with WinXP 32 bit limited 1 core and 1 gigg of ram
still lagged out after less than 4 mins of standing in town this means i cant go make a drink or anything if I have pets I have to continually be moving.

come on GM's Admins Coders whoever can offer me assistance this is getting very annoying seeing as how good the server is

I feel your pain mate, frustrating that we cant get a response to this bug. I have a similar issue. I keep lagging constantly, and I have 3 laptops on my network. 2 of them suffer from this bug, and one works fine. There is definitely something wrong with this client

You will most hear that its your laptops and not the server.

It's most definitely not the laptops because the laptops are all completely different, with fresh installs of Windows 7. Other Mir2 clients run flawlessly on them too.

Mine is a Dell M1330 and my friends is an Acer Aspire 5745PG. We both have the exact same issue, yet my second friend, who coincidently has the worst laptop out of the 3 of us, doesn't have any problems at all. The client clearly has issues with certain hardware.

All Wizards? All with Pets when Lag outs occur?

For a sanity check... Can you hard wire your laptop to the router... I know the whole point of a laptop is to be mobile but... Rules it out I spsoe.

Tried hard wire, made no difference. The one laptop that works fine, is running wirelessly, same as the other 2. wizard pets dont seem to make a difference, but the lags seems to occur much more frequently in safe zones, and when grouped in places like ZT

Your going to hate the answer, but this has to be something in your environment otherwise it would be happening to everyone... Its discovering what... Don't suppose you have a dongle or a wireless device knocking about?

Well I would be inclined to agree with you, but from what you're saying, it would suggest that using a hard wire connection would fix the issue, but it doesn't which is puzzling...
I am however, going to be buying a new wireless adapter for my laptop next week, as the one currently in my laptop seems to get extremely hot when in use, and ends up being very uncomfortable to have on your lap
