Aluv please enlighten me on my mistake.
My understanding is that the requirment is 3person/pet deep to avoid being shoulderdashed. Thats 3 entrances with 3-5 connecting squares each meaning you need 3x3x4 as an absolute minimum. Thats 36 units of wall.

That maths looks so well thought out that i'm now doubting myself.....

My take on it is just block the steps then nobody can get into the palace at all.

ah that's the confusion.
My phone doesn't let me quote people, the group remark was in response to knives post about shadowstepping past the blocked stairway and diving into the palace, then recalling a group and blocking the doors.

I was implying that 1 group worth of recall would not be able to stop the defenders coming in. if memory serves the defenders can also use the main doors, so would require greater numbers still.

I think knives meant if people were blocking steps instead of being in palace then a sin could just ss in behind them and recall thus stopping anyone getting back into the palace, the wall doors would likely not have been broken down either.

The main doors are that buggy would take 10mins to get whole guild in lol.
