I absolutely agree that they should be able to.
It also needs to be likely to happen in this lifetime, Your drop files are great.

the x/xxxx rate is only the first part of drop controlling,
the X killed per day is the second part and the hardest to control, because the X killed per day will vary depending on reported drops.

The second part is the part I think your files are slightly <-- emphasis on slightly, flawed.
There are some items that are just not appearing but from reading various threads the chances of drop are said to be the same (presuming that's the x/xxxx chance)

The X killed per hour/day/week is the major factor is when placing similar level items across varies monsters.

Loving your work though.

On that note - It may be worth checking your x/xxxx drops of the 25k books (static/decoy/frost) in Mino, its getting farmed alot at the moment and a single trip seems to be looting 3-5 of the books at the moment because of the Xkilled per hour in that cave.
How would BH be able to work out X killed per hour/week without input from players in-game? they would then know the places to hunt for the better chance of drops hence the X killer per hour would be increased :cheerful:

The data is all collected in the background, there is a system in place that can breakdown how many mobs of each type each person has killed.
The information is there to tell them how many Hens you killed in the last 10months.

Extracting that information even into excel would allow you to filter the mob type (of probably reference number related to mob) then a count or sum divided by however long the server has been active and you have a very rough X per day killed figure.
You could drill that information down much much further to get far more accurate figures (using dates ect ect) depending on time investment and the database's exact data collection methods.

Strange that Sam asked on another thread where people like to hunt most :) If data was collecting in the background, this would be obvious

having someone to draw and use the information requires a time commitment. a forum post takes 2 seconds then another 5 to check the answers.
I know what method i would use if i was busy.

I'm trying to find the thread where i read about this system being inagme but cannot locate it.
It was a post by one of the previous developers for the server and he was going to put a large ranking area on the website so that people could see all that information for themselves but the idea took a back burner and never made it to live but the data was all set up and continued to gather.

Babyhack stop revealing so much info, team, forsaken, and dd do not need any more help :p

I doubt the db records enemy killed by player, that would generate pretty ridiculous db growth and impact performance. Just generating a kill count though, even broken down by day, would be completely manageable.

Very interesting, i'm not familiar with the capabilities of data collection on this game. It would be cool to see a table of how many of a certain boss have been killed by a certain player in a certain guild. (X has been killed X amount of times by X player in X guild)

it wouldnt tell you who was at the boss, it would only tell you who got the credit for the kill. it would be good to see what mobs have been killed and how many times though.
