I write in proper english for anything.
I hate text writing.
It's just for people who are too lazy to put a little bit of an effort in.
And to be honest, i find it much easier typing normally, and it gives you an advantage over everything else.

My mate always used to type in text format, until he got to an english exam and he had used it so much he wrote in text on his exam and got no marks.
