Just seems abit cluttered tbh, more than half of the Mir2 servers on the advertisement list are locked, If you remove them it'll look a little better and people will easily be able to pick a server.

I know its nothing major as such, but seeing half a dozen mir servers locked is rather silly, I'd rather see just 5/6 MirServers that are online and currently ongoing.

Any thoughts?

Should add another section..... 'Closed Servers'

so that the threads are still there if ne1 wants to look at them or reminise etc... but they shouldnt be deleted

imo Mir2 adverts should only bein advertising actual active servers

The server ads are good for people to look back on.

Screenshots, downloads, client links etc etc.

I dont feel happy deleting these, will wait to see what other mods think.

Precisely, Mir2 Advertisements is to advertise servers - that are ONLINE.

Having 99% of the servers there Locked not only makes it look bad, but defies the whole point of it being an advertisement lol.

Do as bon said and just transfer all threads locked to a new section, seems logical enough.

Honestly I don't even know... Should be more active admins I suppose, perhaps it's time to recruit a few?

Still it's a picky job, gotta be careful who you pick... either way please consider mine / bons suggestion.

Thanks.

Not many admins around recently. But we have plenty of mods around.

I have asked for a section to be created for old adverts.

approved server section needs improving too, not many people look in there..

could you not just pin the approved servers in the same board as the others ?

Agreed also, Im not entirely sure why but nobody (including me) bothers to look there anymore for servers, it's strange and I don't know why I do it but the urge to look for a new server has always been to look in "Mir2 Advertisements" - Looking for a "lomcn approved server" isn't on the top of ppls lists, unfortunatly.

I think it would be best if you put them back into the Mir2 Advertising section except put a Star next to that server name with (Approved) next to it, to symbolize that its one of the best servers chosen by lomcn / players.

As before it's not a major issue but, if it could be looked at much appreciated. Thanks =)

What is the criteria for a server to be "approved"?
Also do agree with the creation of a Archived section for old servers, it would be a nice way to see how the game has evolved over the years. I dont really see many people looking at it that way, but just how my mine works...

the criteria is that the server is up and running with no or as little faults as possible and the players actually like the server, if the players like the server i'm sure they can request it to be "Approved"

Dont see the point at all...
You can see they are locked so just don't try and get on the server if thats the case.

I could hide the threads but it would only bring up the ones from like 2008 instead so I don't see why it should change. No one seemed to have much of a problem with it considering it has been like for ages now.

It's an idea to make the forum more user friendly, rather than seein loads of locked servers, why not have a section for "Locked Servers" since they arn't being advertised no more so why are they still in the advertising section..
