Removing a file what dont exist?

i used to have GTA-MTA on my comp but then i uninstalled it and it left it with this file what is taking up 70% of my hard drive... ive scaned my PC for any files to do with MTA but there is nothing also it says i used it on the 23'rd of january 2005 but i uninstalled MTA in november 2004

its anoying and i want to get rid of it because it is taking up so much space and i only have 1GB left on my comp and i keep on having to remove stuff to stop it reaching the bottom >.<

any help would be great. thx.

have you tryed removing it in safe mode?

hard delete the files manually? it'll still be 'installed' but you'll ahve all the space free'd up

Search for big files 100MB< and delete the ones you know you don't need, most likely the files are not 1000's of small ones.

i had also GTA-MTA installed but its like a erm 10meg download maximum imo it shudnt take over 100meg and as u say after u deleted it u got 12gig free space? odd i wud say tht it can also b spyware infecting youre programs
