If you Using windows XP go into control panel and look for Regional And Language Options

Now open the File and click languages and select Install files for East Asian languages

Now click yes when the box comes up and it should run through when its finished click apply and it will ask to restart pc do it and when u try now the boxes should have gone

It doesnt remove them it just shows them in chinese characters usualy as i tryed this ages ago and it did that.

No it removed em for me tbh moved the squares alltogether it ant in chinese i tried everything else when i tried tht it worked actually

i hate installing chinese language packs...

u cant use ASCII characters in mir if u do, i play euro mir and when i installed some language packs i couldnt use various characters like '£' etc

you do realise this thread is over 1 1/2 years old?

and yeah, it always asks for the disk, you should buy official xp and have a disk.

no more bumping old threads plz.

farphit sorry but whys it matter ppl can still help.....is there a diff exe i can use for it to work?

edit: + i aint payng 150 quid for a copy of windows xp lol

is there an new exe i cud use or do i ave to use ledu
