i been looking for help for ages.
nobody has ever posted a str8 forward guide 2 it.
i know u have 2 setup DMZ on router and port forward blah blah blah.
but noone has ever posted a good guide on this

you have to foward all the ports that the mir server uses
do the following:
1. install mir server
2. foward all appropiate ports
3. set up DMZ host on router to your IP computers network IP
(to find out your computers ip click start/run type in CMD then type in ipconfig)
4. download a server launcher.. look about on forums there are some great ones going
use it to change the IP address in all the files to your normal internet IP address not your computer network IP.
5. start server after saving all files. (Bare in mind only outside of the router players can get in) - (for yourself and other people to get in you need to add a route)
to add a route go into command prompt again (click start/run type CMD) then type in the following
route ADD xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx MASK xxx.xxx.xxx.255 xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx METRIC 1
the first set of x's = your internet IP address the set of x's after MASK are the first 3 combination of numbers also from your internet IP address.. the last set of x's is your computers IP address
if you need more help i am willing to write a full guide with images later on and will post on forums

i dont kno what ur router IP address is to go on it to configure it
but type in, in the above addressbar 196.168.0.1 if that dont work then try
196.168.0.2 or 196.168.1.1 or 196.168.1.2
then look for setup and look about till u find port fowarding

cool thanks, think thats the best guide i seen. so do i just got into all the gate servers etc and find out what ports they use, then forward em??
gota show this 2 my dad, he strict bout our internet server pc, ill have 2 ask him 2 set it up 4 me >.<
yeah just do look thru all the .ini files etc all the configuration and .txt files mate

check and make sure all the ports are fowarded.. that there are none u have missed
try deleting all files under FDB directory and try again
if still dont work there is another way i cant remember it cuz i havent had the problem in ages :P if you goto the other pages on this forum there are plenty of other ppl who have had same problem mate

erm no its not computer IP.. it can be in some ways but its an IP that is set by your ISP and to do with connection between the modem and the ISP. i wont go into any detail tho

go to http://leocrasher.myftp.org and get NeoPumas server control, that will sort it all out for ya :P
Already got it. All that does is chnage what IP address the LOM server 'listens' on. By default a lot of server files have it set to 127.0.0.1 which is the 'localhost' address. This is fine but you can only play from the same PC in that case. :-( I have set my box to an internal IP 192.168.0.x and now I need to know what ports to forward through from my router using NAT. This way everyone can play it!
