I’ve lifted this out of the DMW thread so that is doesn’t get lost. I’d also like to add my recommendation to change the war format and how Sabuk Wall works back to the original Mir 3 system. I added all the details I had on that to another thread, if I find it again I’ll add it here.

I was thinking about this a bit, if even numbers make a big impact then there are some ideas that could be used from the Taeshan Castle event on korean.

Taeshan Castle is a new map they have that you get to from the top of Snow Village, there’s a big castle area at the top right-ish of the map and a small town bottom left. Each day a convoy leaves the castle to the town. Players can register at an NPC to attack or defend the convoy. There are some rewards for whichever side wins. Let’s say 20 people register to attack but 50 people register to defend, once the event starts the team with smaller numbers gets a load of NPC’s added to even it out. For this event I think the NPC’s are level 80 with appropriate gear for that level.

Not sure how hard that would be to code in, but it could be an option, obviously would need a way of determining average level of those going to war to calculate where to set the NPC level. It could work that the holders are automatically defenders, relic submission makes that guild attackers, in the run up to the war all other guilds can register with an NPC in SW for either of those two sides. At start of war numbers of players that turn up is calculated and NPC’s fill the gap. Also avoids the need for an alliance system as once you’ve registered as attacker or defender it just places each side into what is already the war mode.

Guild Fief - was basically a contest room inside sabuk wall, members of the holding guild spoke to an NPC on the steps of the castle and he teleported you in. Was nothing in there, just somewhere for the owners to hang out or pvp practice with each other in peace. Was a basic square map, similar textures to Banya Temple.

Sabuk Dungeon - Small gravestone up from the potion shop, holding guild could enter only, 3-4 floors (Triggy will be able to remember a bit better I think) first floor was PT mobs, second was ZT mobs, third floor was mystery ship mobs. You also had the choice to start a quest, it was timed to get through the floors and into certain rooms/NPC’s. If you completed it there was a boss at the end called Sabuk Lord (used Bone Lond skin), honestly no idea on the drop file it was broken. If you failed the quest or ran out of time the dungeon locked for the week.

Sabuk War - Sabuk funds came as a percentage of all money spent in SW, you had an NPC that managed that and you could withdraw the cash. The first guild to take it actually had a good few weeks of cash stocked up, and if someone didn’t empty it before a war you could inherit a lot too, I think it had a limit on it of about 100m. I’m pretty sure SW could only be once a week on Euro but I may be mistaken, it could never be the same day as DMW as far as I remember. It was a fairly typical capture the flag. Defending guild started inside, attackers started in the little fenced zones (someone else may remember who revived in each of the areas, but it wasn’t at the tele stone, attackers and defenders spawned in different areas. During the run up to the war (there was like a prep time on the map before the war, gates shut, NPC’s left, telestones disabled) you used sabuk funds to buy doors for the castle. They had a certain amount of health and had to be broken, I don’t think you could just tele in, pretty sure all those skills were restricted while the doors were up (I’ll ask some of the other old DA members for more details as well). You could use recall set to recall allies inside the castle, I remember that. There was an NPC inside the castle that you could use to rent catapults and ballistas, each person could have one on the defending side, they worked like pets do, they were ranged and they hurt a lot, catapults hurled huge rocks and did like an aoe on impact, ballistas shot massive arrows in a cone shape in front of them. I don’t remember the time limits for the war unfortunately but I don’t think it was more than an hour. Objective was to storm the castle defenses (gates) get inside clear the defending guild from the steps and take the flag. There was possibly some small details I’m forgetting, others might be able to fill in the blanks.

Found it, so adding.
