so after the leek of the mir files, I have heard a lot of rumour about the drop files....Apparently FlameField only drops from 5 mobs...and they are high level bosses? Hope this aint true coz if it is, that's ridiculous. I like lvling with a chance of getting my books/items off mobs. Not everybody likes bossing. and also I hear Scythes etc drop at 1/40,000,000 chance of PB omas?? LOL please tell me this aint true?? cheers for reply in advance.


ps: just logged in, to do some PB mobs like I have camped for 2 week now. Lasted 2min before thought fk this whats point. if the above is all true, what is the point killing mobs? therefore whats point playing.

All the mobs that drop 36 weapons only drop war/wiz/tao ones none of the mobs seem to drop the archer/sin ones apart from boss's.

Not that 1 in 40mill chance is much of an advantage mind you lol.

from what iv been told of 3 different people, only bosses drop it. and at a stupid rate. So basicly on this server you can't get your skills and good kit if you are a leveller..you have to boss. Don't agree with this, as im sure a lot of others wont either.

Plenty of rare items drop from lesser mobs, no doubt more will come in future.. those drop files have changed pretty much weekly since the game released & will continue to do so.

The drops were probably going to be reworked in 2.0 anyway, I think the stupidly high rarity of them was to give people a small chance, but they didn't actually want those spells coming into play just yet. Might be just me though .

It is worth killing a boss/mob even if the chance is only 1/100,000,000.

progression of drops has always happened and should always happen.
the supply and demand should always battle each other. supply losing every time.

FF will n doubt drop from more mobs when more than 5% of wiz can actually use it....
I have not looked at the files, im happ how itsbeen and I got faith it will be great from each patch onwatds..

I'd rather he did this slow implementation thing (if he is!) than that absolute fk up when the mass drop changes first came in. The only problem with this server is that people are already 45, I'd much rather people were just coming up to around level 40 at this point .

Quite frankly I would be glad if FF hardly ever dropped I am tired of playing servers where all other classes are outnumbered by wiz.
I also heard that FF was seriously reduced in strength on AceM2. Couple wiz I know stopped playin because of that.
I think Sam already posted that drop files are going to be changed soon as he can. So it doesnt matter what you heard
So stop demanding to know stuff that shouldnt be available to you anyway.
You only "heard a rumour" because of some hacking thief anyway. Drop files will be changed and you wont know anything about them.

How much do you think they can alter an already tweaked drop system? They've not changed a massive amount since launch date so I can't see that ALOT will be remade?

After all, certain places are known to drop certain things anyways...to change that would be changing the feel of Mir and what we already know as players?

Lots been changed here. Changing what you "know" from all the years of playing the same game isnt such a bad idea. They changed the maps, the AI, mining, gemming, crafting armours, dont see why they cant change the drop files in creative ways.

See this thread is a case of reading it wrong, Flame Field drops off, Evil Mir, Oma King, Zuma Taurus, Elite State, Elite Guardiand. Now who ever told you this was correct, but failed to tell you that in the Rareboss.text other mobs can drop it, such as... DarkDevil, WhiteGeneral, OKS, Yimoogi, Greatfoxspirit, MirKing, OrcChampion, OrcCollosus, OrcWarlord, EvilEmporer, JinchonDevil. Then after that in the Megabosslevel.text all mega bosses get a second roll of the dice on it so you get two chances at it from those bosses.

I 100% agree with this. My whole guild are the kind of players that play to have a little bit of fun. We're never going to be killing the hardest bosses in game therefore are never going to get anything after 40+. Everyone should get a chance to get the odd spell / item from a lucky mob or even sub boss. As it was from what I saw, a VioletRing is 1/40,000,000 from a FlailOma. Might aswell not even be in the drop filer at those odds.

I hope something is changed as I know for a fact that this has pee'd a LOT of people off. Some of us want to be able to play at our own pace and not be forced to constantly fight other guilds for bosses that we can't kill anyway.

Just give every 42+ wiz FF so they can stand around spamming it every fight and make fights pointless.
