Dunno if this is ok if not mods feel free to delete.
I have been playing a game called Savage Eden and it is now in its "open beta" stage. It was p2p but most ppl quit bcos of the minor bugs so they have decided to make it free again untill all the bugs have been fixed.
www.savageeden.com is the website address. It is similiar controls as Myth Of Soma and Priston Tales, with the features like rotatable camera, 3D graphics, add points to your character when you level etc. It is a US based server and is very reliable. The gm comes on everyday and is quite helpfull too
. It has a very different PvP system as mir, but alos includes a castle like Sabuik Wall. This castle allows you to set tax's, control mob strenght in the province and offers cheap pots etc too.
So if ya fancy a change for a while feel free to come play.
~EDIT~
Also have a look at the movies on the front of the webpage. The 3rd screenshot across shows a guild hunt to Dekadun 4f, but it ends before they get to the boss mob. My guild have done this hunt a few times, but with alot less people and took longer.
The game is currently lacking a communitythat is why they have ditched the "trial" period and gone back to free to play. I have been playing for about a month now and am currently lvl 151. There is some closed beta players on who are in the high 180's and 190's and might be one person who is lvl 200.
I will explain the game a bit more in detail too since i have the time now.
There are 4 classes to the game.
Bulkan - A warrior type class that does alot of tanking and attacks with swords or axes. When your first start your character there are 2 good ways to raise them. These characters use Str or Str and Strain.
Human - A long ranged attacker that uses guns. This class can cut rough gems and collect parts that all classes need for some high lvl'd temples. These characters use Dex or Dex and Strain
Kallipton - A long ranged attacker that uses magic attacks. These are the strongest of the 4 classes and have some good abilities. These characters use wisdom or wisdom and strain
Aida - The weakest class, but these are the most fun class to play. Aidas can refine stones to add upgrades to your weapons and armours, but the upgrades come off when you die so many times. These are long ranged attackers and also have the ability to summon mobs to help them. I think these characters use wisdom or wisdom and strain.
Most of them use strain bcos strain gives more hp than the rest, however the main skill points do add a certain amount of hp but also make you attack stronger and give you more stamina, electricity or mana points depending on your class.
The different areas.
There is 3 main provinces atm. These are:
Laglamia - the starting town and also contains the main npc's like bank/storage, gem upgrading and gem gambling. This is where the noobies first level and where players also level there pets. Has areas best suited for 2-3 different level boundries. also contains the battle arena for friendly PvP.
Dekardi/Lost Realm Castle - The middle area. This province contains the entrances to 2 temples Dekeran and Dekadun. You can also level in this province too, it has areas best suited for 3 different level boundries. The temples contain a merchant npc on each floor so you can pot up on each floor. However unlike mir each floor is a different lvling area and best suited at different levels. The deeper you go the harder the mobs are.
Shilon - The province that contains the Dinosaurs. This province is ok at lvl 100 in groups, lvl 120+ solo. In this province you can pk, but everytime you pk you loose 40-60penalty points, once you get below so many points you do less dmg and have to pay mnroe for your potions. If you warp to this area and have 0 penalty points you will be put in prison with a "friendly mob with 2 very large axes". This province also contains Boldin Castle, mir equivalent is SW and is the place to be for sieges. Shilon also contains 1 dungeon called SeaRoost. This is best hunted from lvl 130+ in groups and mayb in pairs, a tank and a dmg man, at lvl 150. lvl 150 Kalliptons can solo in their bcos of one of their skills which weakens mobs, stops them moving or makes the mob walk round in circles and not attack.
when you die 1-2 things will happen.
1st thing is you will loose gold equivalent to your lvl x 10 so if you are level 100 and die you will loose 1k everytime. You donot drop items as like mir.
2nd if you have used stones on your weapon or armour there is a chance that the effect will be removed, if this happens when you next get some stones you can add them back onto the equipment. If you have gemm'd a weapon you will not loose the effects of gemming.
Hunting for items.
Unlike mir where you have to kill boss's to get your good equipment, you can get it from the mob's you level on. You may think "thats well easy" but let me re-asure you it is not. All items in shop go upto level 85-90 so anything over lvl 90 is classed as rare and you can get cash from other players for it. Different mobs drop different lvl'd items, so if you are killing lvl 120 mob at lvl 150 dont expect to get a lvl 150 piece of equipment, kill mobs higher level than you then expect to get equipment that you wotn be able to use for abit.
There is 8 different pieces of equipment. 1. A weapon these can be 1handed or 2 handed 2. Helmet, 3. Cheast/armour 4. Pants/legs 5. Boots 6. A shield, only bulkans can use shields with 1 handed weapons 7. Wings only aidas can use these 8. Mantles/capes these are for kallitpons but all classes can use these but to get them on it you have to waste some skill points, If you really want to wear a mantle find one that you like the colour of, save your points up or build wisdom equip it and then reset your points dont add the points on wisdom again but do not take the mantle off once you have reset points for you wont be able to get it back on hehe.
You can only obtain gems by killing mobs. Gems can drop in 4 different forms. Rarest is a rough gem, get a human to cut this and you can add it to your weapon or armour. Grade 1 chips, you need 5 g1 chips to make a full gem. Put 5 gems in the upgrade npc in Laglamia and he wil lupgrade them for you. Once upgraded to a full gem you can use it without a human needin to cut it. There is grade2 chips, 5 g2 chips make 1 grade 1 chip. And finally grade3 chips, 5 g3 chips make a grade 1 chips. The best way to make gems is to either collect chips, if your not lucky enough to find a rough, or gamble them at the gambling npc.
