Hey has anyone had anything really weird happen to them like your sure you have seen a ghost or anything!! because the other night for me was soooo freaky!!! i was lying down in bed facing the oposite side to the wall as i usually do when i got this sudden urge to turn to the wall so i did then i really couldnt get comfortable so i moved back then it happend again about 3 times... then i started staring at the wall wondering whats got into me :eek:S then i seen two shadows go past on the wall i thought it might of been my parents but then i realised its like half 2 in the morning and there fast asleep!! ... i seriously couldnt think who or what it was... then i heard a rusteling sound from the other side of my room.. that was the time when i knew i wasnt alone in there... i hear footsteps on the landing and strange bussing noises then the rusteling got closer i then started to panic becuase im really not that brave!! almost anything scares me!! i started shaking AND THEN MY HEART NEARLLY SKIPPED A BEAT!!! when I felt something touching the back of my head and pressing against it whilest a loud bussing sound started i then couldnt move anything i felt like i was paralysed from head to toe.. I seriously didnt know what was going on.. I tried moving my arm but it wouldnt budge.. still staring at the wall with my heart racing a sudden darkness came and i couldnt see a thing then after about a second i could see again almost like i had fainted or something... I could then move my arms and legs... i lay there under my covers saying to myself "go away!" I dont know about you but I seriously thought i was being abducted by aliens!! but thats silly!! BUT the next night my brother had a similar experience!! he was lying in his bed and he had loads of covers over him so that he couldnt possible roll over in his sleep... then all of a sudden he was pushed out of bed and was pushed so that he was hanging off the bed head first at this point my brother had woken up but unable to open his eyes or move at all.. He then opend his mouth without wanting to and he felt something pulling at his teeth and it really hurt him this happend for quite a few minutes when he could move he ran into my parents bedroom and slept there... i cant say i believe in aliens or ghosts untill I actually see one face to face dispite the fact that i used to see a woman at the top of our stairs when i was 4 and after seeing her my mum found out a woman matching my discription had fallen and died on those stairs!!!... I cant remember myself as I was only 4!!! just wondered if anyone had any weird experiences too :eek:S??

I've had nocturnal lapses were my body went rigid once, the harder I strained, the tighter the convulsion became. I've also experienced this weird jolt when like when you miss a step down a staircase lol.

and ... I HATE SPIDERS.

You mean when youre kinda in a deep day dream in which you trip over or get punched and then all of a sudden you wake up and jump about 10 feet in the air?

I love those :p

i think thats called a hypnic jerk or something. need to keep your feet on the ground lol. or against a wall.

no1 is sure what causes it but its like a subconsious reaction to the feeling of falling, losing contact with the ground and your body reacting to it by jerking out trying to reach for a solid base.

Theres also that 'Old Hag' effect thing, brought on by your subconcious whilst trying to sleep. I'm not sure if anyone has heard of this before, but basically whilst sleeping people have experienced actually seeing a ghost of an ugly old woman approaching them, climbing onto their bed, during which they cannot move, she then sits upon them and reaches for their faces! Some people have reported the old hag to have tried to strangle them, and have actually woken up short of breath.

I've only ever once had what i would consider a 'ghost encounter', this was whilst I was with my mate, round his parents pub. We were wide awake, it was about 2am, and we were lying down on the couches in his lounge, just chatting as you do... Suddenly we hear from the next room the sound of scraping, as in something was being pushed across a surface, but it was incredibly loud, in the morning we tried to simulate it, but couldn't find an object to make that much noise. We also heard the sound of objects clashing together - this all lasted about 20seconds, non stop. At first we thought it was a burgelar, but about 20minutes later, the very same thing happened again, but much louder, and for longer. My friend began to hyperventilate from sheer panic, I was incredibly scared aswell, and just prayed for it to stop. Fortunatly it didn't happen again...

I'm just glad I didn't see anything, especially for my friends sake, he would have probably died if it came through the wall or something lmao.

When i went to my homecountry i stayed at my gran's house for about a 2months but anyways after about 1/2 days after sleeping there i used to wake up at around 12-1 at night as my face felt as if lots of ants were on my face O.O so when i turned around there was a couch as i looked at it a shadow person formed, and it was staring at me, the next 2/3 nights were all the same as i told my gran she brought a priest in the house to say some stuff to drive the spirits away,also i got a new dog :D and i never saw the shadows again.

And whats with the new dog, i really didn't get the relevance... Was the dog supposed scare the ghost off the property or something, kinda like one of those kestrel guards?! wtf.

On the whole ghost thing
I have had many many incounters with the other side
I used to work in a large store that was built on the site of an old fort where a lot of battles took place and alot of souls died

Whenever something strange would happen (stuff flying off sleaves, strange voices, kids crying all while the store was closed at night) staff would come to me to go have a look
It got so bad that some of the staff would not go the stockroom or anywhere without me being with them

The office I am working in now has a ghost at least half the staff have seen her and there is a whole story of who she is and history to back it up

Well i do not originally come from England but from what my gran told me she had her faire share or black magic/weird happenings.

I personally believed it was someone dead that came back to haunt the thing, it was not a nightmare, lets think ... how many people had the same dream over and over? and MOST of my dreams i dont rember...

Anyways the thing with the dog, was something like uhmm ... im 13 im sleeping in a massive house, was kind of like if i get a dog he will somehow protect me but anyways this happend when i was 13 and i still have vivid memmories of this.

Oh and before you idiots start laughing as the pricks you really are, england and romania really have different customs and traditions.

lol chill whinston, I just found it funny the way you said it, look on the funny side for christ sake, rather than getting all up tight.

As for the Dreams thing, alot of people have reoccuring dreams, they often consider them insights into the past or future, I'm not saying this is what you've experienced but it does happen, believe me.

I'm not going to try to explain the unexplainable, it's all down to how you interpret it.
