Allowed?

I dont know f this has been covered in a previous topic. But in the previous version it was allowed. Just not supported.
Now you have a Gameshop to make money, lol, will you now restrict such activites to maximise your profits?

:)

Skipping over the obvious question of why you would want to anyway...

I'd imagine it will be the same as the other rules, done at your own discretion and the team take no responsibility if you get fked

Seeing as I doubt they will be selling items and charachters on the GameShop, I fail to see why someone selling a DSS for ££ would affect their "Profits"

i don't see why not it doesn't affect the game in any way.
Really? You don't think being able to buy all the best items for your character and maybe your wife/hunt partner or if really rich some of your guildies doesn't make any difference at all?

i think thousands is an exageration, and it wasnt just the chinese players buying, all sorts were doing it, and in all honesty it doesnt make any difference to me, so somone sold an item they found, they found it, they can do what they want with it, just pretend they selling for ingame gold if it helps, in those terms it really does make no difference to you at all, only to the seller/buyer, which would be the case anyway.

If irl tradin wasn't allowed them more people would be involved in the bidding process.

So yes it does affect you especially if it's something you wanted or needed.

A lot of people that buy for ££'s are usually not very good players anyway, and end up dropping their bought kit.

Sometimes true but demonstrably often not true on some famous pay to win servers.
Not only the Chinese pay irl cash for pixels.
And it makes a difference if the items everyone one wants are very rare like they are supposed to be on Chronicles and the players that have all of them are the same few people. They can buy mirgold with irl cash and items for irl cash then can outbid most other people ingame.
That makes a difference.

Of course there will be good players who buy items and of coursde there will be bad players who buy items.

The issue I was hoping to highlight, was that if the server can sell instantly created virtual items for cash.

Then surely someone who put time and effort into acquiring an item can sell it for cash?

But my understanding is that these 2 policies are counter productive.

If you opened up a shop and some idiot came into your shop and started selling his goods whilst paying £0.00 to you would you be happy with that?

My stance on it is that it should be a bannable offence to both buyer and seller.

If the developers decide to allow it and take a back seat then they're missing an opportunity to make some money off these failures.

RMT as it is called only helps the server...

People who sell up because they want to quit would quit regardless if they could sell up
People who play to get items to sell, carry on playing (increasing user count)
People who want to buy items will carry on playing because of their investment.

As long as all the items sold are legitimate items it is only a benefit for the server.

Ive brought stuff on offical servers, when I finished I sold it all for what I paid for it.

it also gave me a huge boost buying what I did. Hyd knows lol

To limit such activities only lowers server counts imo

As n example, you have an extra £10 in your bank account, you are going to donate to Chronicles to get a nice big torch thingy, great.
Then I come along and say "for £10 I will sell you this HolyDeva you have been hunting for 1week"

Do you see why their policy may change in V2 with the addition of gameshop???

I love mir, lol, so many conflicting opinions, so much rage, its delicious lol

Sam use u r head bring this ability in game so it can at least be policed. How long would it take to add a trade system capable of supporting PayPal. Then all u got to do is take commission. More funding for the server while players have a little security so then if some 1 retracts payment the can lodge the complaint u have longs and can take action accordingly

No it makes no difference, the items DROPPED they were not @made. it does no effect the economy.

Its exactly the same some-one buying it with In-game gold, Nothing new is inputted into the economy.

Some people like you just have a chip on their shoulder.

LOL you misunderstand on purpose? Richman pays £500 for HA dropped from boss private deal other players cannot bid private deal. Richman buys £500 gameshop items sells for ingame gold buys HA. Other players cannot spend £500 today. This makes no difference?
Best would be if richman going to pay to win others can bid against him server team takes commission AND WE CAN ALL SEE AND KNOW who is selling and who is buying.

I will say this... if people going to buy/sell for irl cash, it will happen regardless what people say or do, so its entirely up to Game masters Digression, (None Ban or Account Ban) due to people doing from euro stages, however it will only effect the poor, and people who have kids on a low income or dole.
