Heres a new server list.

You can advertise your servers and display the information players want to see.

Players can also vote on your server using our polls. If your server is a 1.4, 1.9 or woool 1.9 emu server you can use our player count as well.

This is posted for Nick since his account was banned.

Im seeing quite a few people breaking the rules recently.
This rule is found as a sticky in this forum by LeoCrasher.

In future, rather than sticking our rules in our faces, PM your nearest moderator to make sure your threads alright before posting.

I have no idea why your disagreeing with me... I never said anything about the list - my previous post was a 'mod note'.

The ServerCount system is updated regulary tyvm. The v4 on the end isn't there for '****s n giggles' you know... it means four major updates since the initial release (altho I could swear theres been more than 4).

Its been running, and maintained by me alone, without help for over 2 years. Don't imply I can't upgrade without the help of another list.

Tuma, there is already another server list, we needn't have another one, Leo's one works fine, infact, not only does it work fine, but it has a huge array of features, such as Signature Stats, etc.

To be a good competitor you need to have an upper hand, people know Leocrasher, they know her website and they respect her effort.

As far as I can tell this 'Nick' bloke is just some idea-leeching kid who wants a little admiration and will go down pretty low to get it. Now, from a consumer’s point of view I know which one I’d opt for. Not even because I like Leo more, Nick's system is flawed, 'request' to be added? Please, that could take days. Leo makes it that much easier, and from a user’s point of view... I would rather see a list of servers and detailed information, than one server with minimal information, that's just common sense.

Nick, quit while you're behind because you'll never be ahead. Leo, and you know this... you won't need to worry about making your website more appealing, because it's already everything and more the community needs.

This thread should be removed, it leaves a sour taste in the mouth of the mir community. If you want to help the community then think of new ideas, that's how things develop.

I find this to be a bit of a one sided view. I personally see nothing wrong with Nick trying make his own list of servers, just as much as I see nothing wrong with ADM trying to make his own version of mir, or anybody else for that matter.

Why bother creating mods to your car if someone else has a better one? Why bother cooking a meal if someone else can do it better than you? Why make linux when Windows works?

Maybe to learn? Or to enjoy?

I'm glad to see your youthful innocence has not left you, and that you believe everything to be flower and roses, with no other direct intensions.

I however am aware of the real world, and am aware that Nick has not made this website out of enjoyment for pulling data. Flower power you might call it, but for me... it's just common sense.

The similarities you state are nothing in relation to what is happening here, the only personal satisfaction to be had via copying another’s idea and advertising it in the same place is one of optimistic respect, which in turn has lead to negative attention... both probably good factors for the person in question.

But alas I will entertain your needs by answering your pathetic questions:

lol actually mate I don't copy ideas. I made this server list at an attempt to boost my website hits for the woool server not at a stab at leo.. matter of act I actually liked her till she had her childish go at me.

If you don't want to use it(if you can't spend 2 mins of your time to submit a listing then maybe you shouldn't be running a server?).. then don't use it.

You are being very ignorant with your posts sawell, unity makes a very good point.

Also on the side note:
I don't think leocrasher gets hits outside of lomcn.

Then again, he seems to state and defend his opinion a lot too, so meh... an asshole in disguise? Or maybe he doesn't class as an asshole because his opinions agree with yours, or because he's not as good at defending them.

After all, who am I to judge his blissfully innocent intensions? Only true common sense could deter someone from a project which needs only one source. I would have had a lot more respect for his idea if he had directed it toward wool, as far as I’m aware there is not currently an output for that information.

We could sit here and argue all day about what is moral, and what a human's rights are to output his creativity. But when it comes down to it, Nick's website has been done before, and I would bet a large sum of money that if it were not for Leo his "idea" would not currently be hosted.
