Server makers getting lazy?

Just a quick thread,

I have noticed the amount of threads poping up everywhere in the help section asking how they would script sertant scripts. Well i think this is just lazyness at its finest, When you download your set of server files if you check the updates and doc folder there is every single command you will ever need to use. So why are people requesting help about scripts and commands? I think its down to lazyness as stated above. I will not help people out by copying and pasting my entire script into threads just so it saves these people 30 mins or so to work out how its done themselves. Alot of people are doing this though which is fair play in a way but if you sit and think about it, The people posting these scripts had to sit down and work it out for them selves so why shouldnt everyone else?

If your lazy theres no point in making a server. If your going to make a server your going to look through the updates and docs to work out exactly whats possible and whats not surley?

Dont want to start a flame war but i think my points very valid.

at first i cudnt learn from them doc files i found them complicated but after watching a couple of people show me what to do on here i picked it up real fast.
i can do all basic scripting now its just some of the advanced things i get stuck on

they forget that without learning they will always be dependend on others
so basicly they can nevver do anything themselfs

Easier to learn from summit infront of you, other than looking for a long list of commands that mean nothing to you...
If people need help, they should ask for it.. Seing as it is a forum with a help section.

Yet i do agree with the amount of stupid posts asking for scripts..

People need to learn some way. Sometimes the best way is by asking other people..

The best way of learning is clearly working it out for yourself however many times it goes wrong. This then makes you independent so as said above you then dont have to depend on others.

Your just as bad as Doddsy, cant you use the search button? The majority of both your questions have been answered numerous times.

I don`t want a flame war with you, your post just was a perfect example of what Zen was talking about.

Most people on these forums except noobs like yourself, are self taught, they sit down and put an effort into it, why don`t you try "Sunshine".

The best way of learning is clearly working it out for yourself however many times it goes wrong.

If this was the best way you be even more stupid than you are now, especially since the way I was educated in school was too be shown the concept then to use the concept to figure out solutions to other problems.

You learn from what your shown. Sometimes you can learn something new by stumbling onto it but not always. If it wasn't required to be shown something to learn how to do it why is there a help section on LOMCN forums? Exactly.

Everything I learnt about making a server came from reading many of the posts by other people about things, without them I wouldn't have got far. If people releasing servers aren't doing this then its more than likely the server will take a long time to be created or won't ever be released at all. Some thhings I did discover myself, but I needed the basic ideas of other areas before I did so.

I always went on about using the search button in the help section but I kept getting warning, so I just posted what they needed or a link to it.

People do seem to be getting worse.

Maybe one of the problems is there doesn't seem to be any basic guides around these days which teach how to do the simple things like a basic working NPC layout.

It seems people new to NPCs are expected to reach the same level of people who have been here 5 years or so learning.

Some people are just lazy idiots, others genuinely need the help as they may have a very basic understanding and theres only so much a list of commands can help.
