server not connecting

i have followed many guides and none seemed to work.
so i asked jealy if he could help and i set my files up the same as him using only ip 192.168.0.2
this works for him as he connects to his server through 192.168.0.2 and other connect using his external ip address

i did the same with my server and i can connect with 192.168.0.2 but no 1 else can/ i have disabled all firewalls i now of and forwarded what i need to.

any help please:

search! i posted this in another identical thread yesterday!

use 127.0.0.1 for all the server IP's and then use the triple IP client config file (set to the server ip as normal) which TD made for his client!

um im not understanding you lol. triple ip config. would that be my external ip address.

becuase i can get the server running using 127.0.0.1 all the way through. but i want to get it online so that other people can connect

i tired that fire. iv tried this/;

allmy ips set to my external
all ips set to 127.0.0.1
all set to 192.168.0.2
all set to 192.168.0.2 and ten the ones koni said i set to my external
and iv now tried setting all to 127.0.0.1 and setting the ones said to my external.

i can get into my server but other ppl cnt

check for loopback on the router, and check that you allow incoming packets through the firewall, not just the network

The ideeas are like this:

1) Must to setup corectly , (U can find tutorials here on LOMCN), your server files.

2) Must to make "routing" in router, from external IP (ex:62.12.33.52) to an internal ip(local) like your 192.168.0.2. Are an Option on your router for this.
And this are named Forwarding.
The idea is this, ...more routers have option to routing and ports. Must to have this open. And DMZ = ON! Otherway dont work!!

PS: If u use an Antivirus ... STOP THE SERVICE NAME: Internet Worm Protection !!
Me in NortonAntivirus i make some setings and work just fine with this service.
And dont forget to use ZoneAlarm, are very good!

lol. um sorry ii appreciate you hlp but im not understanding what you are saying. also i have the sevrer working all fine OFFLINE :P

and i choose weather to have anti virus lol
