I have changed all my IP`s in the server files to 192.168.2.100 and the server is up and running fine, i can connect to the server on the hosting PC useing 192.168.2.100 in my server.ini, i can also to connect to the server on my wife`s PC useing 192.168.2.100 in the client.

I have also set up all of the Global IP`s in the server files, yet when i go and test to see if the server is Online at my brothers house i get connection closed , any ideas please?

So what your saying is 192.168.2.1 is all Belkin Default IP`s?

So that means in my files i have put 192.168.2.100 which is correct according to Neptune, so does that mean in my router when i port foward do i foward ::

192.168.2.1 Port 7000 etc etc

Or

192.168.2.100 Port 7000

Basicly is the IP i have port fowarded with correct?

Thanks

use the 1 with 100 atr the end when port forwarding, because thats the (preferd) IP address according to ipconfig.

u dont have to run thru a router. u can host with just ur Global IP whilst the router is unplugged

Right, i tried what you said by unplugging the router and try with just my modem, it was still connection closed, so that should mean i have an IP in correct in my files somewere but i have checked like 50 times and i see no problem, i am running on windows vista, i have disabled all firewalls and i have no anti virus installed, could there be some other sort of security on vista that i have missed? As we all know Vista its a pain in the arse. It just seems strange that when i ran Village on XP i had no problems at all and i have set this server up the same way.

change all the IP address' in the serverfiles to the IP Address that comes up in cmd prompt - normally 192.168.*.* - (known as the router ip) forward ports 7000 7100 7200 3000 and connect to your server using the IP off whatismyip.org/
