Setting up a 2.6 server

Using Ripman's thread ive set up a 2.6 server, no problem at all.
However i havent the slighest clue how to set up a DB and all the MySQL side of the server, could anybody help me out?
Is it just the same as making a 2.3 server?
Would i use the same DB as a 2.3 server?

With 2.6 you don't use sql the database is found in the envir folder called data open it either using microsoft acsess or open it using the mirdb viewer usually found in the mir server folder.
