Not a stupid assumption at all, our initial growth has been much faster than RZ and isn't generated by a singular interest (i.e. RZ was only ever big because of Mu).

RageZone isn't really greatly active in terms of user activity, it just gets a lot of traffic due to content. General discussion communities are massive, truly massive.
