is there any way to check if a hit came from a mob or a player, or is it possible to code it in might be to much work for such a thing tho. as you could have them only fail to work if hit with in say 30 seconds of hitting or being hit by a player this way caves can still be 4+ floors with out to much moaning and PVP gets a lot more fun.

How about we doing this way, make some caves have high exp. ( PK allowed) , some of caves( peaceful, do not allowed PK) . This give some opportunities to someone who do not like PK

how about 10 rt's on the SAME map turns into a tt :P - makes pvp pointless when ppl just rt about just using mobs to kill you and when rt;s run out they tt and rt back within a minute...

Pretty sure this has been part of Mir for a long time.

ZT is a perfect example of the old days....Can RT all the way to the Maze, then running through 3 fairly compact, small and often spawn filled floors and no RTing in the KR...Don't know why isn't ever done when people produce there own caves. I think it would make boss hunting much more interesting, and fighting for them more so....so many times in BDD where people just RT away during fights lol.

Make more ZT like final floors and it should make things more interesting

There's nothing wrong with the current game, stop trying to find ways to change the Mir everyone knows and loves.

You mean stop trying to stop team from getting owned then coming back with x20 people in seconds sounds like a gd plan to me.

It's you guys that rt around the maps as soon as you see us, this suggestion would mean you would die more often if they had a cool down. Think about it.

There are 2 types of players on the server. Despite what you think, the vast majority are not the top end dd/forsaken/team players but the players solo hunting or small guild groups. These people also generally do not read or post on forums.

And its the same mir its always been. If you don't want to fight rt or tt. What is so distressing when you are in a small grp levelling and have to go back to entrance if you get attacked. Giving up and logging off isn't the answer. Most of the places people level in small groups aren't hard to get to or a long way. Just regroup n level away. Where was it you were that starting over was just too much to deal with?

Yeah make a pay to enter cave, entrance npc in BW. where people can just go and level and get back to real fast if they die or have to tt cos the dog/baby/wife is crying or a known pker comes onscreen. But make it less exp than equivalent place in main game and much less chance of rare drop.
Just like USA only without the encouragement to spend spend spend

Works well if caves are not too big.

Not read the whole thread, so pardon me if I'm just repeating what others have said!

But, AceM2 was great, in the likes of OrcCave with no RT's and the mobs were too hard to just run to the KR on your own. Needed a decent group to be able to get to the KR with enough pots left to kill the bosses.
If you bumped into another guild then it would be more interesting as people couldn't just RT away and come back.

You have to think about this in terms of the longevity of the server. This has been an aspect of the game since creation, it is a dynamic that players are used to. Implementing it won't bring anyone in, all it will do is increase deaths to ranged classes, add frustration and give people reason to quit the game.

I don't think it should be added for every cave, just the odd cave.
