the situation now is:

tao---powerful support and nice single
sin---the best single dps
wiz---weak single and powerful AOE
war---nice single and not bad AOE
archer---nice single and no AOE(b4 this patch, it had nice single and a powerful skill when there r 2 targets, ITS NOT AN AOE PLS)

yes, im talking about this Static Shot
b4 this nerf, i can kill 2 mobs effectively, 3 mobs? not that bad, 4 mobs? kinda hard, 4+ mobs? i need to run like a mile to kill all of them.
what? im not talking about Oma, im talking about bones. srsly.

idk if its an AOE because in my thinking, AOE is a mass attack at same time, like TS or FBang, not bounce one to another, which still a SINGLE SKILL.
Ryze OP in LOL because of he is a tank and while he casting his ult, his bounce skill becomes an OP AOE with health steal. he is useless when he doesnt have his ult, or if Riot makes him glass as teemo

if anyone (i mean tao) wants to say SS is an OP AOE, then what tao would call their PSN? tao can psn every mob in their screen and mobs got hurt in the same time. if tao psn more than 4 mobs at one time, they can do huge dmg per sec.
lets do a math.
the original static shot cause avg 38 dmg per bounce at lv2. 4 bounces need 2.5 secs, my dps = 60.8
my tao partner green cause avg 17 dmg per 5 secs. when he psn 4 mobs, his dps = 17/5*4 =13.6
his SFB cause avg 40 dmg per 2 secs, so his dps now = 13.6+40/2 = 33.6
his lv3 pets cause avg 15 dmg per 2 secs, he has 2 pets so his total dps = 33.6+15*2/2 = 48.6
OHHH!!!! NERF IT!!!!TAO SHOULD BE SUPPORTER!!! WE DPS CAN ONLY DO MORE 60.8-48.6=12.2 dmg per sec than A SUPPORTER? WTF????!!!?!?!?!

So whats wrong with our original Static shot? we archers need these COOL AI mobs stand together and grp by 2 so that we can kill them faster. Even with the original SS, i dont cast it if there r more than 4 mobs. its low effective and kinda dangerous.

And the TS style stun is fking RIDICULOUS, we archers can only stun 2 mobs. They saw we stun 2 mobs, they didnt see we were chasing by 5 mobs over a mile.

HOW CAN ANYONE SAYS THIS IS AN TS STYLE STUN?? TS CAN STUN LIKE 32 MOBS AT MOST. 32 vs 2? R U KIDDING ME?

IF u want really like to keep this skill in the new(i mean useless) way, fine, every bounce should cause the same dmg to spirit shot.
and it should bounces 4-6 times in lv3.


but now, i just pull this kill out of my skill bar and hope if sam changed his mind.
or maybe i should just reroll a tao.

I can live with the removal of the tstorm effect whilst solo (to be fair this was only on a small number of mobs, 2 maybe 3 if you were lucky and with lvl 3 static). You definitely have to revert the low number of random bounces.

I'm not sure what exactly you expect people to suggest that won't be shot down? You could up the damage of each bounce so that the DPS is the same as it was before? This shouldn't have much of an effect in PVP since people should find it extremely easy to move away before it bounces with the massive delay now.

If you mean suggestions in general then look no further than our single target dps. My gut instinct is that we should fall somewhere in between warrior and assassin dps. Assassins put themselves in danger in melee so they deserve top spot but warriors are brick walls that still do about 50% more dps than archers. What do archers bring to the table? Wizards have amazing aoe damage, taoists have lots of utility, assassins have massive single target dps, warriors have huge defenses and good single target dps. What exactly do you want an archer for again?

We shouldn't have to do hundreds of hours of leveling and hope for incredibly rare skill drops just to possibly even the field a little. People say every archer is just moaning for no reason but this is like nerfing TDB or thunderstorm into the ground then saying just wait for your later skills. Analyse the situation instead of spouting off some stuff about people moaning for no reason.

Samuel, would you be willing to consider giving us resources to improve our single target DPS unrelated to this spell then so we have an alternative form of leveling that remains viable? For example increase length of time rapid fire remains active at L3 to 70 seconds and increase equivilent a speed boost slightly?

This way we will use same mana per damage as now, but be able to deliver the damage quicker. Obviously I don't think increased damage will be accepted by the community because of pvp, but increasing the a speed seems acceptable as it will still be slower than melee classes.

Although this obviously don't relate to static shot, just combats the problem of slow leveling at higher levels that everyone is complaining about

Also makes leveling with Archery when poor viable, the archer equivalent of leveling with pets or doing BC (which isn't currently viable because archery takes so long to kill even black maggots etc)

im not a nerf fan, its the fkin cry baby brigade as usual. Remember it will be your skills they call for nerfing next, i can see this down the line with our tao skillz , "curse" and "mass poison" etc.
I had np with SS it should be reverted to the way it was.

Warr AoE is not "not bad" id still say archer AoE is better than warrs. no warr has chm atm so archers are alot better.

yes SS seemed to be very nice if you only had 2 targets. would probably be your best dps spell with only 2 targets.
