program to cut bits off / out of films?

Basically i downloaded a film and need to cut the credits at the end off to make the file size shorter... anyone know of any program i can do this with?
im not asking for a download link just a program name as i can find things myself ^_^

i tried googling but no luck, i really don't know what to type lol.
Thanks for any help!

VirtualDubMod does the trick for me. Presuming it's not in WMV or something protected it can't read. If it's xvid/divx then you should have no problem. It's also good for resizing, compressing, adding subs (think it requires a plugin) amongst other things.

Currently I use VirtualDubMod 1.6.0.0, but if you search for VirtualDubMod then that should be fine too. (Although probably won't be that exact version)
