Some friendly advice for some people who seem to think they can survive on this forum posing as nice guys or fun people. Its not going to work. LOMCN has a strict social structure and you either fit in, or **** off.

There are four main groups that roam the boards. Each has their own specific agenda and goals, none of these teams recruit people selectively, but you have to fit yourself into a team over a period of time.

1. The Staff. Staff obviously police the boards and more often than not they police it selectively. This isnt some hardcore organisation that does everything by the book, all in all, its better to stay on the right side of the staff, and by making posie threads about how people flame and argue, you open the floodgates and increase their work dramatically. The single thread about people argueing about spelling and flaming (by Value) has actually caused more flaming in a few days than i generally do in a month. This leads to people being Policed around because their weird posts are more of a nuisance than the flaming itself.

2. Flamers. This is a pretty intricate group and possibly one of the most significant on LOMCN. Its like the stonemasons. The flamers all look out for each other and although there are sometimes tension between groups and people, generally flamers are the most reliable people to petition an "unjust" ban and get action and re-instatement.

The main flaming groups on the baords at the moment are:

Kud/Pebble/Rebel/Eskimo - Annoyance flaming: post generally to piss other people off and wind people up, they set up mass flames because resulting arguements are usually then at a level that the other flamers can pick up on and safely join in.

Vannaroth/Hate/Some others - Casual Flamers - These people will usually only flame when there is a need to flame. They generally have a dislike of certain people and jump in on those arguements. Some of their flames have a real "Finenesse" and are perfectly executed to finish of morons in arguements. They do however only flame occasionally.

Grammar Police - All Flamers: All flamers are in the grammar police, they take turns and shifts, and generally police inadequate spelling, anyone who takes time to volunteer in the grammar police usually gains better spelling and grammar during their time in the job.

Team Atomic - Select members: Although currently disbanded becuase many people are working on things that have actual importance, Team Atomic is an elite team of flamers that will occasionally sweep the boards and destroy most arguements and people. This isnt because we'r awesome, but usually because the threads we hijack are quickly noticed by all other flamers, the threads last a few days with laods of spam, arguements, warnings and Bannings. Team Atomic doesnt exist on its own as a group, but in times of need unites all other groups into a common goal.

3. The Third group on LOMCN are the contributers. These are the people that keep everything above the Real mir sections alive. Most of these people work independantly of the GoT boards, and they are solely responsible for keeping servers and developments going. Back in the begining a lot of the now GoT flamers and Spammers were top contributers but as time went by we lost intrest in mir as new and bigger goals appeared. Many contributers like to observe the community after they leave and hence the read the top boards and keep in touch with friends on the lower boards.

4. Solo'ers. People who come here to find a server and play on it. They dont contribute with material or intellectual goods, but are actually pretty important to the Contributers, they are the ones that drive the need to create new and better servers. however many of these people eventually becuase "Flame bait" they dont like to search, dont like to speak properly and usually are seen asking the most basic of questions for the 4000th time. After getting pissed of at the top board community they either leave to RZ, or become bitter and annoyed and migrate to the Lower boards. Once they hit GoT they either get destroyed entirely and have to make multiple accounts to try and regain their honour, OR they prevail in annoying people in GoT and meld into the flamers and other GoT users.

LOMCN doesnt cater for people who just want to be nice in GoT. You either have friends in there and chat about crap and ignore people who enter the post with the sole intention of flaming you. You can fight them back with an retort of your own, which usually means we will leave you alone or have a joke with you, possibly it means you get sucked into a flame war, it all depends on the person/time/mood/topic.

If you dont have many friends and need some friends, you have to succesfully argue, flame, fight your way into a group. It takes time to get the respect of people, and 90% of your posts will be shot down by better flames, people telling you your flames suck etc. But with time and patience and skill, you can become a master flamer.

And then there's me =]

Don't know exactly where I fit but hey I'm not too bothered, I have a good laugh and do as I wish.

I vaguely remember going at it with you once Atom back in the day, But I think I can safely say it's resolved now and as you have good taste in music I'll let you off ;o

On a serious note: Good advice there, I was suprised to see the amount of thought and time you'd put in to actually pass on some lessons to the unfortunate people who aren't clued in.

Alas, It kinda of reminded me of Pokemon.

[Where's Pix/Pie-rain etc.]

Pokémon .... maybe its time to revive the age old question of "Sweden vs Pokémon" lol

Pixie is currently in the process of moving house and wont be online untill monday. Pyraine and Ipixel also actively play WoW now, so we pretty much speak on there. On a final note, some of you may have realised Atomicide.com is re-opening (4th re-opening so far) as a gaming site, but not for a few weeks yet, so i need to start trying to import chunks of MMORPG communities and Console lovers to the site from various places. Anyone that has a guild/clan/thing on some MMORPG and wants a place where they can dominate the forums please let me know.

@ Staff and the Care Police: My site has been officially allowed in the thread by Beachy.

id say your part over two groups, i dont think i know you that well to judge your group, but you seem to enjoy an arguement while at the same time you can be quite helpful and friendly.

You remind me of a younger me, when i used to release patches and be helpful, but still get pissed off and tell people to **** themsevles.
